Hey!! i'm Emily! I'm 23 and from Puyallup, WA! I started this journey on August 2nd 2007, a few weeks before my brothers' wedding a while back. I was tired of seeing myself unhappy and hated the feeling of being fat and disregarded. My brothers' wedding was an eye opener... namely my bridesmaid's dress issue. a few weeks before the wedding, my dress didnt fit, so we had to get a corset back put on it... i was a size 24/26, and all the other girls were a size 4. I was humiliated! ...
Hey!! i'm Emily! I'm 23 and from Puyallup, WA! I started this journey on August 2nd 2007, a few weeks before my brothers' wedding a while back. I was tired of seeing myself unhappy and hated the feeling of being fat and disregarded. My brothers' wedding was an eye opener... namely my bridesmaid's dress issue. a few weeks before the wedding, my dress didnt fit, so we had to get a corset back put on it... i was a size 24/26, and all the other girls were a size 4. I was humiliated! my cheeks were so big you could barely see my eyes, and my arms drowned out any profile shot of me. I saw my dad for the first time in 3 years that day, and he looked at me a little oddly, too. So I invested in some Turbo Jam videos and quickly lost about 35 pounds. I started back at school and soon the weight just stopped coming off as stresses built and I never had time for working out anymore. I've been at a stand still for 2 years, unable to get back into the swing of things for one reason or 80 others. While i've gained a little back, i'm back on the horse and riding faster than ever-- i'm desperate to lose the weight! While i'm 30 pounds down from where I started 2 years ago, I'm ready to start Phase two with my eyes forward, not behind me.... No more looking back at how I lost it before-- I'm starting new. Life has changed since the-- I've been laid off 4 times in one year, and dont have the money for a gym right now... i'm trying to do Turbo Jam when my roomies are out of the house, and get to Zumba when I can-- I try to eat right, and am drinking all my water-- i've started to put the focus on me, now that things are trying to settle down. I've got an amazing boyfriend who has slowly lost over 100 pounds himself. In one year he's gone from 350 to 240. I've got awesome friends who support me, and I'm more than ready to start round two!!!!! MY LONG TERM GOALS: GET TO 160! MY SHORT TERM GOALS: I'm looking to be about 220 lbs by February 14, 2010. MY OCTOBER GOALS: * Do Turbo Jam 5 days a week, monday thru friday. * Jog 3 days a week and get BACK on the C25K program! * stay within about 1500 calories a day *drink drink drink that water! *Stay positive and focus on my health!
