Hi,

My name is Kate and I'm super excited to be a part of the "Biggest Losers" Winter Challenge! My photo is about 4 yrs out of date and I've gained probably 20 lbs or so since it was taken. I hate having my picture taken. :(

I've struggled with my weight for so many years, since I was 13 really (and of course, I wasn't even fat back then, but I thought I was). I've tried all sorts of diets from NutriSystem (back when they had meetings) and Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers, the Blood Type diet (yes, really), and probably others I'm forgetting.

Now I'm trying to teach myself how to prepare healthy food and eat sensibly and kick my sugar habit. :D

I can't wait to join these challenges with my fellow team members! Goooooooo Dazzling Diamonds!!! Woo hoo!! :D (Am I too excited? Let's all use that, shall we? Gooooooooo team!) lol

I read about a thousand articles trying to decide which to do, and this one just stuck with me. I'm sure this will be the wk 1 challenge for the spring session as well, as it makes more sense starting from the beginning of a challenge. I just wanted to get it in there and in people's heads for those who aren't continuing the challenge with us.

That's exactly it. Don't pay attention to what the numbers say right now, all they are is a baseline. You have to start somewhere. Don't think of them as YOUR measurements, keep it purely analytical. The only purpose of those numbers is to set your baseline. Write them down, date them, and forget them.

Next month, when those numbers drop, HECK YEAH, take every bit of credit for being the one to make it happen!!!

Wooohoooo!!! Yay for ST!! And I have to say, I'm happy your dr is such a stickler lol. Sometimes it takes an outside person to give us a good firm shove in the right direction. emoticon
And yes ma'am, I will be part of the spring challenge! In fact, due to Jen having to pull back some because of time constraints with the upcoming adoption, I've been asked to join the leaders for the Spring challenge! I LOVE this, because helping keep my team active and accountable helps ME be more active and accountable. I love being able to help others in their journeys. You say I'm inspirational to you, well helping others succeed is what helps inspire ME!

Can't wait to see how the ST helps mold your journey! Don't forget to check your measurements once a month!!!
