Oh golly gosh...got totally side tracked on getting back to you. I'd think about a silk plant as a great filler.
Or you could move the bookcase down a little towards the kitchen area if it will fit and put a nice console table with a nice lamp and maybe a lower shelf for some baskets or maybe even some books to add a little texture to the room. I'd put a round mirror to break up all the angles in the room...I think you need an interesting round mirror above the console to soften that area..could be very interesting and will add more light in the room reflecting off the light in the room..
Hope these thoughts might help my friend.
It's tough having things down low when you have a new puppy at home. What name did you choose...he's certainly a sweetie pie! 7 days ago
Dearest Maureen my friend. How are you? I love the pics of the newly remodeled home. I bet you are loving it also! I survived the vacation 'from hell' and learned some very important lessons after 38 long years of drudgery. Don't do what makes you miserable...life is short and we have to do MORE of what makes US happy! That's my new theme for the rest of this year and ALL of 2017!
DH will no longer 'guilt me' into seeing his miserable mother and sister and I won't waste my valuable free time and money paying to be miserable...won't happen again. I just wish I would have learned this lesson about 38 years ago! Luckily I was able to blog out the frustration as I always do....better than eating it out...but I did plenty of that too...now back on the healthy wagon! 14 days ago
I'm happy your are still honoring dear Justin with your awareness events. It seems such a long time ago and yet a short time ago we lost our angel boys! I know we both miss them so much but we have no choice other than to live our best life possible to make them proud.
I'm VERY proud of you dear one...VERY PROUD! 24 days ago
