hi everyone!
I am a 56 yr old that wants to be healthy and enjoy a beautiful life. I am trying to get back into better physical shape. I was very motivated a few yrs ago and reached my goal weight. Then with some very hard losses in my life it crept back in. My beautiful 21 yr old son died in 2012 and i now reach out to other grieving parents to help each other. I have met wonderful people on Sparkpeople.

Sparkfriends have made life easier in so many ways. It is not just about the weight loss. Its is about the sharing and caring of your fellow human beings. Giving love and support to others is so much easier then being miserable. I say Sunshine works everytime!

I am now on a path of rediscovering who i am now thru meditation ,yoga, spirituality...

Blessings to you dear Maureen...I know this month is a hard one for you. It's like the month of May for me. We will support each other the way we always have. You know I think about you all the time and I do know our boys are together very happy that their mommas formed a friendship. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello dear Maureen...just popping by your page to say HAPPY Thursday! I hope you are staying warm and toasty! Does Champ get you out for your daily walks? How is he doing settling in to the household. Tell me what you've been up to lately dear friend...we are now in our 6 day a week work's EXHAUSTING...every year I say NO MORE 6 days a week and every year I get sucked into it. We have such a short timeframe to make our money with the consignment gallery there really is no choice. I wish I could think of something different to do...something that did NOT involve a brick and mortar store and dealing with the public...they can be quite exhausting. Are you still working? if know what I mean jelly bean! emoticon

Yepper...the big 65 on January 3rd. What day is your birthday my dear friend? I'm glad you made it through the holidays. Boy they are ROUGH without the love of our lives aren't they?

It's been almost 11 years in May since we lost our angel son. You would think as time goes by that things would get easier...but this Christmas we just could NOT bear to go over to our friend's house for Christmas and be around their entire family of kids and grandkids.

I've plastered a smile on my face for years and just gotten through it...but this year we could not. I have a feeling it may be this way in the future also. DH and I went to N.C. to forge a new tradition with just the two of us.

I wish our friends were more sensitive to our loss but they just can't relate. No one really can until it happens to them.

Are you still working? We are really trying to think of something different than the consignment gallery...this is our 7th year there and I must say retail sucks! On-line shopping...even for furniture has really taken a bite out of the potential audience of buyers.

Even Macys big department store that has been around forever is laying off 10,000 workers and closing 68 stores. WOW...I wonder how that will impact the Macy's Christmas parade...that must cost a fortune to put on.

Life is changing dear Maureen...everyone lives on-line, shops's the new normal.

I send messages to my friends..or e-mails..I never pick up the telephone anymore. It's all good unless we get a cyber attack that shuts down the internet...or worse yet the entire power grid. I think we would all do well to have a back up plan...I just keep wondering what it should be.

    A spark village? A good thought..heh..heh! emoticon

Please stay in touch during know I'm ALWAYS here for you beauty! emoticon

Thank you beautiful Maureen for that nice relaxing massage. I'm treating you to one also. I hope your holidays aren't too hard this year. We seem to be having a particularily hard time this year so we are headed up to N. C. to see the Biltmore Mansion all decked out for Christmas. I just can't be at our friends parties with all of their kids and grandkids there celebrating Christmas this would hope things get easier over the years...but alas...they seem not to this year for us.

I am taking care of myself this's about time! I hope you do too dear are such a beautiful mother and kind to yourself and know our boys are sending us love..which of course is the BEST Christmas gift we could ever receive! emoticon emoticon emoticon
