So it is time to update 7/8/2107 I am 58 yrs old and much has happened since I joined Sp in May 2012. I lost 30 lbs to reach the lowest weight I had been for many years. Slowly started gaining it back to normal yoyoing which was my original goal 0 no more yoyoing. Before I gained it all back, I started in May 2017 to seriously lose the added pounnds. Down 11 pounds now with a few more to go. This time round I am seriously working on health habits to last me the rest of my life.

The star of my journey on SP in 2012: Learning so much more about myself as I learn to change my choices. I started out thinking this was about losing those extra pounds I had packed on (again!), but it has become about so much more.
Update 10-20-12 I reached my goal weight the beginning of this month. Now my initial goal begins: to not yoyo as I have my entire life. My first commitment has begun as I have started getting rid of my too large clothes. At first this was easy, but as time goes on it has become a little harder to so easily let go of those clothes that are perhaps two sizes too big. Determined to make it this time!
Update 11/11/2013 Over a year of maintenance and I have made it. Just the past month the scale has started to climb, so right now grabbing hold and getting back to where I need to be. Working on the physical end of things as health issues have slowed me down.
Update 10/25/2014 Again needing to address the area of yoyoing as I have gained and lost and gained again 10 lbs over the past 6 months. My current goal is to have only one set of clothes that fit and not have to go back and forth between two sizes. I only recently decided on my top weight and now need to lose to get back down to staying below it.
Update 2/19/2016 The upward weight trend was more often than now. Though I would drop and gain back, the gaining back finally took over and on 2/13 I went back on the 17 day diet which I initially used to reach goal before. This time older and wiser with knowledge about myself I didn't have before. Also started pt this past week to seriously address muscle "retraining" and gain back correct movement. Am changing my ticker today from 177 maintenance weeks to keeping track of lost weight.

    My sister, ALICIA363, captured that bike photo. It reminded me so much of photos of "real" triathletes, even on the TV coverage, and images in my head of triathletes I watch and admire... she got me looking good that day, and I agree, it does make me look strong... plus I can detect in it a small smile of "I'm going to get 'em!" as I head out to improve my position in the race! Triathlon is a complex sport... every bit of it counts... the swim, each transition choice, the bike, AND the run! emoticon emoticon emoticon
