Hi, my name is Jessica. I'm a stay at home/homeschooling Mom. I lost 31 pounds with SP in 2009, but have now gained back all of it plus 8 lbs. The weight started creeping back up after moving a few years ago, and due to stress and depression it has just kept going up and up. God was the key before and I know that He will give me the strength and motivation again, if I will keep my eyes on Him!

Fitness Minutes: 4,298

My Goals:
To lose weight - for good! To be a good example for my children. To feel better, have more energy, and be able to do things that my current weight and fitness level don't allow! Once I get down to 150 I'll decide if I need to lose more.

My Program:
Just starting up again, so my exercise regime will gradually increase in intensity and duration over the next few weeks. I'm a vegetarian - so lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains, beans and nuts. I drink LOTS of water or herbal tea. I plan to go outside as much as the weather permits.

Personal Information:
I've been married to the same man since my mid twenty's and I'm now in my late 30's..lt was "love" or at least like at first sight for both of us. Although our relationship has matured and changed we are still very much in love and are each other's best friend. I met my husband at church and after the "bad boys" I had previously dated I now believe that is the best place to find a mate.

Other Information:
My main goal is to overcome a lifetime of depression. I'm currently experiencing one of the worst bouts I've ever had. This will require many changes, including such things as: Going to bed early and getting up early in the morning to: a) have time for worship every day, b) exercise before my kids are up, and c) reset my internal "clock". Reducing the amount of time I spend on the internet, spending more time listening to classical music, ensuring optimal nutrition, spending more time outdoors/with nature, and changing the way I think (ie not being negative).

Hi! Thanks for making a comment on my Spark page! As a matter of fact, I just watched Forks Over Knives yesterday and it was great. I have a goal to go totally Vegan but I am not there yet. I still have some food in my freezer and fridge that I do not want to waste like turkey, chicken, cheese, and yogurt. Once they are gone, I won't replace them. I like the term Flexi-vegan. LOL! I agree with you...it IS hard to go places and not eat things that may have non-friendly hidden things that are not vegan. Sometimes you just can't ASK what all the ingredients in everything are before you eat it. I am going to start taking some fresh fruits and veggies with me wherever I go...just in case!
I wish you MUCH success in all your goals and drop by my Spark page again soon!

Thanks for adding me as your friend, I added you as mine! I know how made the "depression" can be especially having it while trying to homeschool your children. I hope we can uplift and encourage one another on our journeys. Your new friend.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:3-4

Thank you so much Jessica! My faith has grown since last year and I am blessed, even if I have bad days I am in a great place now, I won't let a bad day ever turn into a bad month again. Thank you again and if I can ever do anything for you just let me know.

    God bless! Tim
