The "Fight"

Wow! I cannot believe how Diabetes can control your life, once it takes a hold of your system. I was never given the opportunity of pre-diabetes. If you get this red flag, take heed, be warned to fix it right then and there. Once diabetes takes up residence in your body it's there for life, you can put it in a dorment state by not feeding it. But just like fat cells, it's there to begin again if you disturb it by returning to SAD diet. You know that old saying "You can't go home again" ...
You know that old saying "You can't go home again" Same with D2. And as you age, it gets even harder. I tried to fend off medications for a long time with just diet and exercise. But again if you return to old habits of eating (mine is sugar) It becomes a game of "Who wins?" And in the end, as I have seen in the statistics it always will be D2. I had a friend I am sure I blogged earlier on that was on the meds, insulin and very sedentary, that wouldn't change his way of eating. He had a stroke recently, and he just thought the meds would do the trick
and he could continue to eat poorly. Well, that was a wake up call.

You really should try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox...no ads slowing you down at all with the free ad-ons of adblocker plus! Best thing ever!!! We can't get it on our Windows smart phone or the tablet, but the desktop is the way to go. Sorry you are so frustrated with it, I was too, until I found out about that.
Can't wait for the new tv season to start! 9/27 OUAT and Grimm 10/30! Have a good week! emoticon

Still watching GH? You know I don't miss Luke at all...as long as we have Franco to entertain us. And the Silas murder mystery sure is riveting!! Ava is about to be found out and Jason is about to find out who he is!! emoticon

Was good to see Luke's final show on GH today... was sad...since he was one of my faves. But, now maybe some more actors will get more air time...like our fave Franco!!! emoticon emoticon

All these are free. I hate to go to SP on my phone due to all that ad stuff popping up. On the laptop or tablet they may be different names for some reason. I refuse to do any of the tracking on my phone or tablet, just the desktop-just too aggravating, as you said. I gave up using internet explorer a long time ago...Google chrome is the best, especially for SP. I hope you don' t leave SP! Try it out and see what you think. I am so bored with TV right now. How are you liking Blacklist-did you watch it yet? Sure enjoying So you think you can dance though.
Tony Geary had his last day on Tuesday...so he will be on for another few weeks at least. Such a crazy storyline they are doing...I hope the end of it is better than the beginning!!

We had to put our 16 year old cat, Super Tiny, to sleep, two weeks ago and then we had to put our 16 year old dog, Spot, to sleep, this week. Cried buckets of tears but also, it made me want to spend more time with Sammy. So I walked with him in our big pasture and then gave him the signal and he sat down and I sat down and I scratched his neck and body for a very long time. He's been molting so I helped get rid of the loose feathers and scratched the itches that molting causes.

Each of my pets' passings make me know that I want to spend more time with the pets that are still here. I've been lucky to have so many wonderful pets and never forget how lucky I am to be owned by an emu.
