Getting started after baby!

I am a 32 year old new mom to a fabulous little girl! I live in the Ottawa/Gatineau area in Canada. I would like to lose about 120 pounds. I was on SparkPeople about 3 years ago, and with the food tracker and exercising, I managed to lose 30 pounds. I even ran three 5K races! I was really proud of myself. Then, I stopped monitoring my weight, stopped exercising and about half the weight lost came back.

I am a 32 year old new mom to a fabulous little girl! I live in the Ottawa/Gatineau area in Canada. I would like to lose about 120 pounds. I was on SparkPeople about 3 years ago, and with the food tracker and exercising, I managed to lose 30 pounds. I even ran three 5K races! I was really proud of myself. Then, I stopped monitoring my weight, stopped exercising and about half the weight lost came back.

I got pregnant with my beautiful little girl and had a healthy pregnancy. I only gained 10 pounds (as per my doctor's recommendation) and once the little one came out, I ended up not only losing the baby weight, but an additional 15 pounds! I was so thrilled, but that didn't last long. Due to breastfeeding issues, I took a medication that gave me cravings for sweets and a huge appetite. Lacking willpower to restrain myself, and spending my days in my yoga pants, I didn't notice to slow creep of weight. I gained 30 pounds in about 6 months! ARGH! Anyway, I'm not breastfeeding anymore, I'm going back to work in February and I am now the heaviest that I have EVER been :(

So I've decided to stop mopping around and do something about it. After all, the little one is starting to crawl and I need more energy to keep up! I had a bit of a false start in September, so I'm considering November 25 my true start date with SparkPeople. Yay!!

My Goals:
My first goal is to get back to the weight I was after giving birth to my daughter (220)

My second goal is to leave the 200 pounds range!

My ultimate goal would be to get around the 135 pound range.

My fitness goal would be to lead an active life without feeling that I'm exercising. Just getting out there and having fun!

My Program:
To start, followed the 5 days quick start diet from Dr. Joey Shulman (The Natural Diet Makeover) (Nov. 25-29)

Subsequently, track calories and be in my recommended SparkPeople range

Integrate exercise in my daily grind.
