March 2010- MY BIRTHDAY~!
I dream of being something more than I am now. Now, I am tired. Congested with my own fears, my own short-comings, and my own lack of ambition. I want to be free from that. I want to grace the world with my spirit and my passion. I am an artist.
The whole reason why I'm doing SparkPeople is because in 2007 I saw a picture of me in a bikini at a hotel party my friends and I were hosting. Sadly, it shock the brains out of me how out of shape and generally disgusting I thought I looked. I was appalled. From then on I have been determined to change that image of myself, both inside and out.
Come 2010, I still haven't lost the weight I wanted. Mentally, I've gotten a better image of myself. I do not, I repeat, do not hate myself. But physically, I still find myself lacking. Actually, I'm not lacking anything...and that's the problem. I think there is too much of me! (laughs)
So, hopefully, come hell or high water, I'll be able to overcome my weight and realize my goals~!
I want to:
-Be able to run a 5k.
-Be able to do a handstand for 10 full seconds.
-Be able to touch my nose to my knees.
-Be able to wear a pencil skirt.
-Be able to wear a bikini and not feel self-conscious.
I create my own exercise routines, though I like to look up others that interest me. I'm always looking for more information.
I also like to practice yoga, dancing, running, kickboxing, and a few other activities. I love the water and I love hiking, though I can only do those things in specific seasons because of where I live.
My favorite Quotes:
"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. " --Edgar Allan Poe
"Our ambition should be to rule ourselves, the true kingdom for each one of us; and true progress is to know more, and be more, and to do more." --Oscar Wilde
"As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. " --Henry David Thoreau
"It is through art, and through art only, that we can realize our perfection." --Oscar Wilde
