I've traveled through 280-ville, 270-ville, 260-ville and am now half-way through 250-ville on Spark! It is so much fun traveling through these little towns... and so motivational!
I joined Spark People and started my weight-loss journey Sept. 18, 2007 and I have lost 34 lbs during this time. The reason, I believe, is that I have found that elusive key... ELIMINATING EXCUSES!
My positive attitude is what is different for me this time. Historically, I have put myself on "diets" and moaned, groaned and complained to being deprived... I had DIET RAGE! This time it is different. I heard my college-age daughter making excuse after excuse... and it HIT me... I NEED to ELIMINATE EXCUSES!
So, ELIMINATING EXCUSES is my mantra. Only positive thoughts and motivational attitudes and I believe I have found that elusive key to weight-loss success... and a happy life! I have a spring in my step, I am pleasant to be around and I love life (when life used to be my prison)!
Have a GREAT journey... and remember to eliminate excuses that keep you from attaining your goals and you WILL get there. WE ARE STRONG! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

thanks for your comment ,when i started here i had nothing to give up really, i do`nt smoke, i do`nt like fizzy drinks ( i do`nt count red wine ) but then i thought....i like biscuits,chocolate and cake but it is so hard to give them all up together so i am cutting down slowly for instance this week is my first no chocolate week at the moment i am doing OK but it is only tuesday morning o far linda
