It's a marathon....not a sprint

Hey! I'm Misty. I am a mommy and wife who is trying to find the motivation to keep up this whole marathon of weight loss. I lost 20 lbs by training for my first 5k (Sept. 2009), kickboxing, and tracking my foods on SP. I am no longer overweight, but I would like to lose that last 5 lbs that I have been holding onto.

I tend to workout and eat well until I lose enough weight to reach my goal and then I start slacking because I am happy where I am. Then I am disappointed when I weigh myself a month later and find that I have gained a few pounds. Then it's hard to get started up again.

That's where I am now. I am happy at my current weight, but I need to get back on the wagon so I don't ruin all my hard work.

My goals (weight related) for 2011 are as follows:
1. Start training for a 10k
2. Maintain my weight at 130 or lower

Hi. I am in Texas, not Tulsa but I know there is a walking club in your area if you are interested in participating in local events on a regular basis. I do similar walks every weekend. We are not "fund raising" clubs, we are for fun, fitness and fellowship. Our clubs are family oriented and most events are baby stroller, and pet friendly. Our object is to keep a record book and collect a stamp for each event that we do. I've done over a 1000 of the 10K events in Texas and in 46 other states. Hey you! Thanks for coming over to my page. I'm glad you are doing so well and going to do another 5K!!! My big thing this year is that I plan to do a Sprint Triathlon in August. I've got a LONG ways to go to be physically able to do it, but I know I can do it and am excited about it!
