Time for a Change!
I've never been on the 'skinny' side of the spectrum but I have definitely been skinnier than what I am now. When I met my husband I was looking good and within months the pounds piled right back on. Not because of him but simply because I put exercise on the back burner. Six years later, here I am - disgusted with myself and embarrassed to go places for fear that someone I know may see me. A couple months ago my son (who would never say anything hurtful) called me fluffy. Around that same time, my husband found out that he was diabetic and was told that he needed to change his eating and exercise habits. It was like reality hit us both in the face with a brick and just like that, without giving it another thought, we decided it was time to make some lifestyle changes. So, this is it. This is the last time I'm going to carry around these extra pounds. From now on, I'm not going to let my weight dictate where I go. I've decided its time to make ME a priority. I'm going to eat healthy, exercise more and be a better example for my kids.

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose 40 - 50 lbs and I want to achieve it by eating healthier and getting some excercise in each day. Next year at this time I want to be able to wear a swimsuit in public!
My Program:
Eating healthy! Cut out the starchy carbs such as noodles, bread and potatoes. If we do have noodles we've been having whole wheat and surprisingly enough - they are pretty good! I'm also exercising anywhere between 20 - 35 minutes per day on the treadmill or with the Wii Fit. I'm hoping to increase that to approximately 45 minutes per day once winter rolls around and their isn't so much to do outside with the kids.
Personal Information:
From Minnesota - love the summers...hate the winters. Give me flip flops, sunshine and sunglasses and I'll be a happy girl!
