My name is Missy, I'm 33 years old and live in the Philadelphia suburbs. About four years ago I remember stepping on the scale and seeing almost 200 pounds, and on that day I vowed never to weigh so much again. I started tracking my food and exercise on Sparkpeople and lost about 30 pounds, but true to my yo-yo dieting history I gained most of it back. I've been off track for awhile now and wish that I hadn't given up on myself. I know it's time to make some positive changes.

I have the utmost respect for anyone who is on a journey to change their lives for the better and wish everyone success.

My Goals:
* To learn healthier eating habits

* To start moving more every day

* To learn portion control

* To recognize when I feel full then STOP EATING

* To incorporate exercise into my daily life

* To stop turning to food for comfort

* To wear a bathing suit for the first time in 15 years

* To wear sleeveless shirts without obsessing over how fat my arms look

* To get my younger brother to stop calling me "Missy Moo" in reference to my size

* To wear a size 8 someday

* To find the strength inside of myself to feel like I can accomplish these goals and that I'm worth it


My Program:
I have to get back to tracking my food daily and try my best to stay within my fat/calorie/carb/protein limits. I'm trying to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into my day instead of the refined sugars I tend to lean towards. The most difficult part is making myself exercise, even with the beautiful treadmill right in my house.

    Hey!! How are you?
    It's been a while...I joined the new Planet Fitness in Springfield and I go there about 6 days a week for my cardio fix...I haven't started weights yet. Just trying to ease back in...I am starting weights next week. With the cold weather upon us, hopefully we can still squeeze in a walk or two...But, if you ever want to go to the gym with me, my membership allows me to take a guest everyday!!! So, you are welcome to join me anytime!! It would be nice to actually work out with someone.
