I will stay within my calorie range daily. I have been working with a different nutritionist, and my food plan is based on her recommendations. I am eating much more protein daily, and am seeing some good results. I will support my team by logging my fitness minutes and LTGL points daily, weigh-in on Saturday's, and check in with my teammates daily through group posts and their blogs, offering encouragement where I can. I look forward to a successful 8 week challenge!!!

I have been a member of Spark People since March of 2010. My commitment level has varied from day/week/month, but I have continued the journey. I know that losing the weight is just part of the equation. Every day is about making better choices than the day before, and choosing the healthiest option available. Also, trying to find the balance and keep it all in moderation.

I hit my initial goal weight in early 2011, and then revised it to the middle of my normal BMI. I was within 9 pounds of the revised goal, when I had some injuries that side-lined me. Replaced some old unhealthy habits with some new unhealthy habits, and packed on the pounds over the next year. Then came 2013. I was exercising like a fiend, at least 4000 calories per week in cardio alone, and staying within calorie range. The weight just kept piling on. After my doctor ran a bunch of tests, an auto-immune disease was diagnosed. I worked with a nutritionist, my doctor referred me to, for a few months to help with a manageable eating plan. I am committed to getting back on track by eating healthier, living a more active lifestyle, and regular exercise. So my mantra is "One choice at a time." I can do this!!!

“Missy”
It’s been hot up here. How are things where you’re at???
I tried to stay still. LOL The baby spends most of the day nursing… so we are hot together. LOL Some church members brought us an A/C to borrow. We will be using it tomorrow!

What do you do when disappointment comes? When it weighs on you like a rock, you can either let it press you down until you become discouraged, even devastated, or you can use it as a stepping-stone to better things.

Thank you for the goodie. I like doing these challenges because it keeps me focused. I like this team because sometimes I have a hard time making my weekly minutes and it isn't really competitive.

I really like the leaders
