Why can't I crave carrot sticks instead? ;)

I guess I'm what you would call a "yo-yo" dieter. I don't seem to care or have motivation to change anything until the scale hits "YIKES!" and I wish that wasn't the case.... I wish I could always want to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I wish I didn't "reward" a low weight with the WORST possible food choices (calorically).

Until about a year or so after college, I was able to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted (and trust me, I've ALWAYS loved to eat) and remain fit and ...

Until about a year or so after college, I was able to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted (and trust me, I've ALWAYS loved to eat) and remain fit and under 110 pounds. Since then, my metabolism has taken a break and my hips have widened, pushing me from "carefree teenager" to "woman."

Nearly everyone in my biological family has issues with weight, so I realize that genetics are against me and that I need to put EFFORT into being in shape... In the last three years I've gone up and down in weight, with the "up"side getting higher each time around. So, here we go again!

My Goals:
Stop rewarding a lower than usual weight with FOOD.

Go back to college for a higher degree.

Work out at least twice a week (starting off small).

Spend less time sitting/laying on the couch....

My Program:
I work 7:30-4pm Monday thru Friday, so I'm always working when my gym holds the classes I'd like to attend.. I need to suck it up and do my own routine, preferably 2-4 times/week, but it's hard to have motivation to go......

Personal Information:
I always have room for dessert... Maybe that's the problem. ;)

Other Information:
My favorite types of exercise are: skiing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, working out, dance arobics.

There is another great recipe I found for low calorie pumpkin muffins - only 77 calories each - problem was I ate 4 of them in one day! Uggg. I'm back on track now and fortunately, my little boys finished off the muffins. Once I get my darn cravings under control again (which I'm about there) I will try them again. If you like pumpkin muffins they are on the recipe thread for the spakteam "30 something moms". Hope you're well!

Sounds like fun. I love work out classes. I'm doing Turbo Kick and i'm totally in love with it. You should try it if they have that down there. Its a mix of kickboxing and some hip hop dance...very fun!
But i'm with ya on the plateau as well..so i guess its time to shake it up a bit! hahaha

Okay so according to Babyfit.com i am supposed to have between 2380-2680 calories everyday! wow... I am 100% sure that is too much so i think i am just going to stick with what SP gave me....

hey!! yeah we had a really fun time. I was happy that i could go, even though i had to get some blood draws while we were there..haha! And i have noticed there is something screwed up with my profile, cause in addition to my calories burned my weight loss tracker said i have lost 245 lbs...soooooooo yeah..haahaha! And the worst part is i don't know how to fix it...ugh! any ideas??
Looks like you are doing really well...are you taking any new exercise classes at your gym??
