Thank you for the spark goodie - I loved the peace sign. You said you lived in northern Illinois, are you anywhere near Harvard? I have a really good friend who lives there.

Yes, we were happy, and most days we still are. Little did we know how difficult it would be to merge our children. Tom's family blame me for the changes in him thinking I made him change - you'd think they'd know him well enough to know that NO ONE can make him do anything. And several years ago his step daughter (who he raised since she was 6 months) told him she couldn't have a relationship with him unless he divorced me. Oh well, they haven't talked in about 3 years.

No, we didn't stay at the historic hotel - I think it was too pricey for our budget at that time. But we did have a lovely time in Red Wing. The second photo was down by the river, it was so peaceful. As soon as everything has settled around here we're going to take off for a couple of days, we need to find some peace!

You didn't seem argumentative to me, and thank you!

Ideally, according to my research, the % of fat calories should be 10% or less for greatest benefit to the heart. For me, with the calories I eat (roughly 1500-2000 most days) that would be around 15-20 grams of fat a day, and honestly, that's not something I feel up to tackling now, and I'm not sure I could do it without forbidding some foods, and I'm just not willing to go there, because I don't need that kind of disordered eating. However, most days I do around 30 grams, sometimes more, and sometimes like yesterday, 50 on the nose. It's fine with me! My doctor's program recommends 50 or less, with no minimum (since all whole foods have *some* fat in them), so I'm trying to stay reasonable and do less when I have a good day, but not sweat it.

Here's how it worked for me. Rachelle, can I do anything to help? No mom, I've got it all under control. Then I hear a MOM!!!!! Tears like crazy. My very grown up I've got it all under control daughter finally needed me! It's such a hard thing. We give them life and provide the best care for them years, we teach them how to live independently and they do. That's the good news. But oh how I wish I had those 5 little ones back some days - the ones who thought I was all knowing and I could solve anything!

    Sending some inspiration your way!

Ten reasons to never give up:

    # 1. Nothing is impossible, the word itself says "I'm possible."
    # 2. You are more powerful than you think.
    # 3. It's never too late to re-write your story..
    # 4. Because you are not your past actions.
#5. You are worth more than diamonds, and can never be replaced.
    # 6. The little things in life are ment to be treasured.
    # 7. You have your own unique message, and it needs to be heard.
    # 8. There is a rainbow after every storm,
    # 9. True freedom = Letting go of people's opinions about you..
    # 10. Because it feels better to say "I did it." rather than "I gave up."
