Hugs and support right back at you!!! Don't be discouraged by your mother's fast weight loss. You are doing it the healthy way. I bet you get to eat more delicious, healthy food than she does. You will have a greater satisfaction from working hard and achieving real success in the end. You are not alone...we can do this together! Keep up the good work!!!

I read your post about your "light bulb" moment on the food and nutrition thread. I am sooo proud of you for doing this.

My mother was talking about Gastric Bypass Surgery but, she has Diabetes and they wouldn't do it until she lost a little weight and got the Diabetes under control. I weigh a lot more than she does. She thought it was a simple " quick fix" for her weight problems and wanted me to have the surgery too. I know that there is no "quick fix" for weight loss that lasts. You must eat healthy, watch your calories and exercise. That is the only way to get healthy and you still have to do that after the Bypass surgery.

I know that I can do this the right way and I am determined to be an example to my family that anyone can do this if they put the effort in and get emotional support. (I do believe that there are some people who would benefit from Bypass surgery.... very extreme cases only)

I have lost 38 pounds in three months and 18+ inches and I don't care if it takes me two years...I WILL reach my goals the healthy way!

We can do this....together! Best wishes to you!
