Hello. I am new to spark but very interested in what i will learn here. I am impressed with all I have read.

I am a humanities teacher at a classical Christian high school. But in two months I will be officially retired. Yet independent studies with seniors and others keep me from truly severing the connection.

Hello. I am new to spark but very interested in what i will learn here. I am impressed with all I have read.

I am a humanities teacher at a classical Christian high school. But in two months I will be officially retired. Yet independent studies with seniors and others keep me from truly severing the connection.

I have six adult children; and by February, there will be eleven grandchildren. Things are just now heating up! Three of the children are in beautiful California; the remainder are here in Cincinnati.

I work out almost every day; some days at a fitness club, others on the walking path with my goldendoodle, Fanny Price (named after a Jane Austin character). My husband and I do a barbell class and a strength class together.

I am a Christian. I love ideas. Shakespeare theatre is my passion (as a member of the audience!). I have hosted a literary club in my home for years. We are reading the best classics of Western Civilization. One a month, twelve months a year.

Thank you for adding me to your list of friends. I'm flattered. After a busy Christmas of too much food and getting off track, I am looking forward to re-establishing healthy goals for 2010. You will really like retirement. It has given me the time to volunteer and train for half marathons. The next one is in May in Ottawa. Want to virtually train together? Also, Cristionajoy is tracking a group of vegan/vegetarians who are running/walking and cycling around the world, if you are interested. emoticon
