Hi everyone,

I'm 23, from Newcastle, NSW and my weight loss goal is 65 kilograms. I've lost about 7 kilos using SP so far, and am down to 90.5. My short term weight loss goal is 86 kilos.

I am vegan and I strongly believe that veganism is the best way to live ethically, responsibly and financially. I am saddened by the current exploitation animals face. I LOVE SparkPeople. It has been such a great tool for me so far. I am losing weight and I feel great. I love my SparkTeams - they keep me honest!

My biggest inspiration is my Mum, who lost about 30 kgs through the CSIRO's Total Wellbeing Plan. She is so active now and looks half her age. She is a real fighter and a free spirit and I really look up to her in terms of my health goals.

My Goals:
To healthily and sustainably lose weight, with a goal weight of 65 kilos.

To play in a soccer team next year, and be able to run and jump and kick without feeling winded.

To get my black belt in chitokai Karate, and get up to at least an orange belt by the end of this year (2007).

To be strong and fit when I have children, and be able to raise them with healthy attitudes to their bodies and exercise.

My Program:
- keeping below 1700 calories a day

- cardio four times a week
(walking, gardening, swimming, karate) with an aim of burning 850 cals a week on average

- surrounding myself with supportive people - especially my Spark Team and my Mum

Personal Information:
I''m from Newcastle, NSW, Australia. I''m a student of arts, I love my pets, my garden and my husband. I have recently started martial arts at the Hunter Valley Martial Arts centre doing chitokai karate, and I love that too.

Welcome to "Lose 30 pounds by Easter"!
You've been doing great on your weight elimination so far, now count on us for support and motivation for the next 30 pounds (almost 15 kilos, yay!).
Love your cat! Looks a lot like mine! ;o)
