Well, we are in the same boat. I've been peri-menopausal for a couple years now and I keep hoping each time will be my last (every three months or further apart now). But it sure has slowed down the weight loss. I also have thyroid issues and I thought when I was put on meds that the meds would be my daily magic pill for taking the weight off. haha It doesn't work that way I found out!
