Fitness Focus 2014: Love My Body

Too many times, I look in the mirror and am disappointed in what I see. I tell myself in various ways that I am not good enough the way I am. I complain about the pain in my back, my knees, my shoulders, and my feet. I try to prevent crows feet and wrinkles; I worry about the hair on my chin.

Rarely :do I rejoice in gratitude that my body woke up that morning, that it holds my brain, allows me to touch the ones I love, lets me taste food I enjoy, move itself from place to place, ...

In 2014, above all, my focus is to be to learn to love my body for what it is, as it is.

My Program:
Patience in the journey. I am working on accepting where I am now, knowing the balances I need to keep in my life, and not comparing myself to others. This is my journey and it is OK that it does not look like other people's journey's.

I am 40 years old and have been married 11 years. We have one cat and a dog.

In addition to my full-time job, I work part-time a couple nights a week and am working toward my Bachelor's degree. I am studying 1960's history.
