I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. With each birthday it seemed I was another 20lbs heavier. When I hit my twenties this scary realization hit me. My weight was starting to be restrictive. The heat of the summers bothered me, and my energy was tanking. I tried 'dieting' many times with initial results.. and then fell back to my old way. But from these 'failures' and reattempts I learnt more about myself, my mentality and my mistakes.

The first thing you need to do before you ever try to 'diet' is truly to understand why you are looking to loose weight. Is it because you're disgusted with yourself? Is out of self-hatred and loathing? Even disappointment... those reasons will sabatogue yourself.

Losing weight is a slow process, and if your angry, disgusted, or upset, it will be /too slow/ of a process. You need to want to be healthy, you need to make a mental change, you need to not be obsessed with measurements and pounds, but focus on how you feel day-to-day, and if you feel healthier celebrate it! The weight will fall off and you won't even notice!

My Goals:
My goal is to feel healthier then I ever imagine possible. I want to regulate my sleeping pattern, control my insomnia, feel energized and active, and to maintain a body that reflects that!


My Program:
Currently I am only eating organic whole foods, without any gluten at all. Lots of local leafy greens!

I want to find an exercise program that works for me, but this is where I am most struggling with and I'm still trying to find something that works.

    Wednesday for sure! When is this cold weather supposed to go away so we can walk again? You have always been my best walking partner! You keep me walking for hours without me even realizing how long it has been or how far we have gone!!
    I can say that even though I fell off the wagon with my exercise I have been doing pretty good with watching what I eat. I am still very aware of the foods I am eating and aim for healthy alternatives as often as possible.

    Hello sweetums! I never know if you are actually using this site or not! You live down the road from some great walking trails, as well as a killer hill! I don't have a gym membership or go to any classes at the moment (lacking funds) but I am always up for anything free! regardless of how hard, or how much of a butt kicking it would be! I love spending time with you and being workout buddies is always an excuse to get together! Your schedule is more tied up than mine is. We'll get together soon and see what works for both of us and start making things happen!
