New Beginning...

I joined SP about a year ago, I felt it was very inspiring, helpful and motivating. Then August 2010, the day before my 37th birthday I recieved some very shocking news. I had BREAST CANCER!
I was absolutley devastated! I have no history of breast cancer in my family. I didn't know what to do.
I was very scared and unsure what the future held for me. I went through a lot of emotions. I am so glad that I had my beautiful loving husband and supportive family and friends to get me ...

I was very scared and unsure what the future held for me. I went through a lot of emotions. I am so glad that I had my beautiful loving husband and supportive family and friends to get me through the chemotherapy part. I gained almost 15 pounds during chemo. I am grateful that I tolerated chemo pretty well, but still want and now need to lose the excess weight so that my chances of resoccurence are even less.
I am just staring to feel better with each day. I had my last round of chemo at the end of January 2011 and am in my second week of radiation...only 27 left!

My Goals:
Long term goals:
1. Be a healthy role model for my daughter.
2. Lose 50 lbs
4. Take dance lessons from a dance studio.
Mid-term goals:
1. Lose 15 lbs by my son's graduation in June 2011.

Short term goals:
1. Exercise 30 min a day 5 days a week.
2. Drink 40oz. of water every day.
3. Eata healthy breakfast and lunch everyday.
4. Get 7-8 hours sleep every night.

My Program:
I am going to be in bed every night by 10:00. To ensure that I fall asleep by 10:30.
I am going to walk 3 days a week.
I am going to log my food in the nutrition trackerand log my exercise too!
I am going to eat healthy for breakfast and lunch every morning.
I will do my zumba DVD's 3 days a week.
I will do strength training 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
I am 37 years old. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 15 years! We have 2 children , 13 and 17 years old.



Other Information:
I love to dance, read, watch tv, watch movies and watch baseball!
I love the support and encouragment I get from SP and hope to inspire and encourage others as well!
