My Nutrition tip of the Now (updated, whenever I feel inspired):
When trying to increase your water intake try this. Carry a water bottle around with you (in my case, to class and I have several bottles in the fridge at work). Sip on that throughout the day.
Slice up an orange/lemon/lime. Put a whole slice (about 1/2 to 1cm thick, depending on how strong you want) in the water bottle. It'll add some nice, natural flavor :)
A lot of what I'm doing is focusing on calories. I work out every day already, and have since May. Most of my problems come from the mindframe of "I worked out today, so yea, I can eat those cheesy fries and milkshake and...". That justification doesn't work! I have to escape thinking like that.
I'm happy. But not one of those obnoxiously, "la la la, life is cupcake," happy. I'm sarcastic, and I love to laugh. I love crazy stories that end with the listener saying, "Did that really happen?" and you just nod, because you can't make that stuff up no matter how hard you try.
Music is my life. So if you need some new songs for your workout, let me know and I can offer some suggestions! And vice versa!

Thanks for dropping by my page :) I checked out your blog about the influence of your friends...so true! I'm 25, and I have two jobs, with two sets of co-workers who really encompass the "black hole of food." It's definitely hard to keep yourself accountable when someone's always going on a Philly pretzel or Dunkin Donuts run! It's funny though, because my co-workers in my office job, who are all in their 40s and 50s, are waaaaay worse than the kids I work with at my waitressing job...

It's so cool when someone navigates to my page by seeing it on the motivational sparkpages list. I can't get over that, hehe! I totally know what you mean about the 20-something's life. Man it is hard to handle those happy hours, and dinners out, etc. I guess what I've found is the key is moderation - while I was in the middle of this journey I continued to go out with friend but kept the drinking and lax eating to only one night a week. Worked for me! Anyway, thanks for dropping by and for your kind words!

thanks for reading my blog. I have now run 174 days in a row - soon it will be half the year. it's going very well. I will warn you that running every day is not for everyone. the risk of injury really does go up...but it's working very well for me. Still there are many kinds of streaks you can work on. gail
