Anna makes a new start

I'm a 58 year old single mother of 4,grandmother of 3. I've pretty much ignored the fact that I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure for the past two years,except for popping some pills each morning. I'm tired of feeling bad and relying on prescription drugs. I want to be the thin,healthy person I was 15 years ago once again.

Welcome to Low Carb For Dummies!! We are really happy that you joined us. We are a very friendly group and have many successful and knowledgeable members. Our members are on all kinds of plans such as Atkins, South Beach, Protein Power, Low Glycemic. etc. What we share in common is a desire to eat high quality carbs and leave behind the processed sugary ones that cause medical problems and obesity.
