Mom of 2 and heading to 50 year milestone in age

I have recently been evaluating the most important things that I have and want. In my job, I always have patients tell me to "appreciate every day that you have". I have already done that, but have to put it into action. As a nurse I know that lifestyle changes are necessary to see a difference and to find true joy.

I have been trying to feed my inner positive person, and stay away from the negativism, and the pessimistic people in my life. I have been looking to God for help and my circle of church friends. I am not the best Christian, but I haven't met anyone who is perfect yet. So, I continue to pray and keep my church family in my heart, as I know they do with me. I am a humble church goer. I keep my relationship with God to myself and realize that some days will be better than others.

I am taking baby steps in my approach and trying to change habits one at a time. Step by step. Now a few years later and I am still working on the same goals and the important things in life are pretty much the same.

I am always willing to communicate with others, you can motivate me and if you find me a motivation in your life, please share it with me. I love you all and will continue to pray that you set and meet your goals in all aspects of your life.

My Goals:
ST goal - lose 10% of bw (met on 2/1/13)
MT goal - run/jog 30 min
LT goal - BMI 25, 135- 140 lbs.
Ultimate self approval in life is to know I was a good mom and wife, and have left a bright light in people's lives.

My Program:
Cardio Intervals on the treadmill, the elliptical, and/ or stairmaster, for 30-40 min. per day. 6 days week.

Strengthy training 6 days week.
Day 1 Lower Body, core
Day2 Chest, core
Day 3 Back, core
Day 4 Shoulders, core
Day 5 Arms, core

Stretching daily


Yoga and mediation or prayer daily, anywhere from 10-15 minutes.

Personal Information:
Live in Connecticut. Love to walk, hike, and be a gym rat. I am an RN, LMT and currently studying for Personal Trainer. I love all kinds of music, as long as it is positive, and feel so much better when I move. I thank God that he has given me all my blessings in my life.

I just read what you had written on a message board about people asking you 'what happened' since you used to be an aerobics instructor. Don't be embarrassed when they ask you this, get angry. How rude of them! I would probably come back with some sarcastic response of 'hey, s@#t happens, that's why I'm back at the gym....idiot' or let them know that you no longer work at the gym, but spend 16 hours a day helping others and you've come back to the gym to start taking care of yourself again. what boneheads!

Hi Eva ~ It was so nice of you to stop by my page and leave such a wonderful message. I am sorry that I have not gotten back to you sooner but I have not been here for a few weeks. My life is a bit turned up side down and I am just getting it back on track. I truly believe in the footprints. I know God has been carrying me for these past weeks and I think it is time that I show him that I am becoming stronger each day. God Bless you as you go through this journey.
