Embracing the Chaos. Without snacking. :P

I have a pretty busy life, and it's been hard to get into healthy habits.

I grew up skinny, and when I hit about 35 my metabolism changed (as they warn us it will), and started gaining weight. I had no idea how to count calories or carbs, no idea how to work out, so I was starting from scratch.

I don't have any terrible habits -- I quit smoking years ago -- but I am a snacker, and I drink too much Pepsi. I'm not too concerned about the numbers on the scale, but I ...

I don't have any terrible habits -- I quit smoking years ago -- but I am a snacker, and I drink too much Pepsi. I'm not too concerned about the numbers on the scale, but I want to lose my tummy. I feel like i look pregnant (I'm not!), and that bothers me.

I also want to keep my heart healthy, gain some energy and strength, and tone the rest of my body. And I'm over 40, which means I need to take care of my bones.

Is that too much to want? :)
