Thank you very much for the links! I spent all day looking through keto cook book. I haven't even managed to check the rest out yet! I got a lot of new ideas, though. It didn't even occur to me to make mac& cheese with Shirataki! So, I'm headed out to drug emporium today. They have a vitamins plus section with a lot of gluten free stuff. I usually get my Shirataki there. Waco doesn't have any specialty grocery for health foods, etc, so this drug store is probably my best BT for finding coconut flour.

Hi!
My Hubby was watching Chelsea Handler and an actress from Lost was on (not sure who because he didn't know!). Anyway, the actress said that she lived in Hawaii while filming lost and would surf but then hated it so she started paddle boarding. They were discussing how they got killer abs from paddle boarding - so - now I "pretend" I am on a paddle board (standing up) and paddle from side to side. I just started and already have some definition in my upper abs :)
My real problem is my lower abs because I have a pinched nerve and can't lay on the floor to do exercises or my back is totally messed up.
If you try doing the paddles, you have to do them slowly so you don't hurt your back :)
Good Luck!

Thank you so much for the awesome, in-depth reply! I really appreciate you tips and experience here. :D

HEB has many flavors of pork rinds! there's the normal, a super hot, the chili lime, and BBQ. I tried the BBQ yesterday, and it just tasted vaguely hot. Not really like a BBQed pig. I don't know what they were going for there. But the chili lime? Seriously, I could eat the whole bag. They are that awesome. My HEB usually has an independent brand of pork rind on a rack by the deli meats. It's not there! The HEB awesome ones are in the chip isle. In true Texas fashion, they don't say pork rinds anywhere on the bag, but CHICHARRONES!!!!! in caps with exclamation marks. lol. Oh Texas!

I had no idea that a few berries were ok! I'll have to look into that. I'm really missing my sweets right now, and even some fruit would be good. But hey, it's why I'm doing this, right??

Seriously though.. heavy cream.. blew my mind! Heavy cream makes me so happy. I could make all sorts of cream sauces for my meats, I suppose!

I have some sugar free candy here, but I can't eat it. My old standby (Sugar free wint-o-green lifesavers) have like 4-5g carbs a piece. I realize that it's probably sugar alcohols and whatever, and that a piece wont' kill me, but I'm still super paranoid about the whole "net carbs" thing. I was reading somewhere that some sugar alcohols are ok, but I remember starting to have trouble years ago when I began courting such risky foods. lol

For some reason, I had a really hard time with all my lower plumbing while going low calorie. I honestly think some of it was due to too many processed carbs. Even though I was keeping calories in range, I dont' think I was getting enough fruits& veggies or something. I don't know. I'm not eating any more or less than usual now, but the types of usual veggies have changed. More spinach, less corn, etc. But hey, I'm poopin' like a champ!

I have an Xbox, but I never use it! XD Most of the stuff I want to play has been coming out on PS3. Lost Odyssey is hands-down the absolute best game on the 360 as far as I'm concerned. I really like my roleplaying games, though, and I'm not good with action stuff at all. Most of the camera AIs in those games give me motion sickness :X

I didn't know about the protein to glucose connection, so now I have something to be even more paranoid about, thanks!! j/k I am getting a lot of fats from cheese, cooking with olive oil, heavy cream, bacon, etc, so I'm not too worried about it, but if things get out of whack, I'll have to look at it more closely. Thank you!

I don't think it was the egg. I eat eggs every day. I think it was the sauce and the peppers on the new burger I selected. Or the guacamole mixture. Whatever it was, that was the worst "guacamole" I've ever had. I can't even really call it that. It was more of a green looking mushy mix. Bleh!
