Misha's Spot

I am a 26 year old Central Texan that has PCOS and insulin resistance (IR). For years I have struggled with depression, anxiety, weight issues, acne, and excess hair growth. Now that I have a diagnosis of PCOS I am finally learning what I need to do to succeed. I have been on Metformin for over a year and now feel 100x better. I am starting to lose the weight and I am beginning to have hope again.

My Goals:
Short Term Goals

Goal 1: To have a loss every week on the scale, or maintain from the week before.

Goal 2: To increase my working and strength training slowly!

Goal 3: To do one hour of cardio 3 times a week and strength training two times a week.

Long Term Goals

Goal 1: To get my weight down to a BMI of 22 or 122-124 pounds.

Goal 2: To be happy with the way I look!

Goal 3: To be able to do anything I want to do, without be physically challenged!

Goal 4: To be able to run, whether for a mile or a half marathon. I have accepted the fact that it will be my greatest challenge, but hopefully one day I will be able to do so without hurting my knee!

My Program:
I will aim for 50-60 or more cardio minutes a day by biking, elliptical, treadmill (walking, speed walking, and hopefully one day jogging/running) as well as swimming. I will do at least 30 minutes of ST everyday. I will rest on Saturdays and Sundays.

I will also try to keep my carbs under 150 grams, keep them complex (from whole wheat and beans). Limit my added sugar intake and keep a low calorie intake as well.

I will continue to take my Metformin as it working.

Hey Misha!
I'm so sorry to hear about the house and your depression...that's terrible to hear. Sounds like you should be Sparking more...gaining some encouragement! I'm here for you anytime you need someone to vent too or whatever, OK?!
I pray things work out for you all! Sounds like the new neighbors totally suck. We're on top floor, so we only have to contend with the people next door, and they are relatively quiet. Lucky for me, my neighbor downstairs enjoys the sound of my children (who would have thought!) and if they are too quiet she'll ask me if they went away or something. She's an empty nester, on her own, and says it helps her hearing my kids. I'll take that, LOL!

Alright, the baby is waking up and I'm trying to post a blog. Talk to you soon! Remember, I'm here if you need me!
Hugs,
Beth

Hey Misha! Thanks for stopping by! I am getting some sleep. It's kind of like we're on an every other night routine. One good night, one bad, one good, one bad. But hey, it's better than it could be!

Hope all is well with you. Have you guys moved yet? I'm falling behind on things! Keep in touch!
Hugs,
Beth

Yes it flattens you out and they don't move. They sell them at Petticoat Fair over off Anderson Lane, that is where I got mine. They have other brands also. I think they had Moving Comfort; I might go back over there and try out a few more. I have had mine two years now and it is in the same shape it was when I bought it, so excellent quality.

** Oh and I was/am doing 17 Day Diet.
