We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." My Goals:
To learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. Make exercise a part of my new lifestyle. Be more accepting of myself just the way I am. Reach out to others. Make slow, steady progress til I reach my desired weight.

My Program:
Drink 8 glasses water daily. Eat healthy REAL food. Track food daily. Explore others pages and support & encourage them for by helping others we also help ourselves ! Be good to myself. Try to make exercise a part of my new lifestyle

Personal Information:
My name is Michelle, I am 51 and I live in Naples Fl. I have 2 children, Matthew 31 and Colin 27 and 2 four legged children named Myles and Chloe. I started gaining weight over 3 yrs ago after the unexpected loss of my only siblings, Lance 40 and Melissa 43. It is time to take my life back and to get on with this business called "living" and to make it the best it can be for it truly is a gift. Now I am living one day at a time, am striving for progress not perfection.
I am a spiritual, not religious person and I enjoy spending my time with like-minded people.

Other Information:
I volunteer at Shywolf Sanctuary taking care of 35 rescued wolves, 4 Florida panthers, foxes, prairie dogs, and various other small animals. These creatures have all been abused, abandoned and neglected and, for most of them, this is their last refuge. It is a very spiritual and sacred place and I am privileged to be a part of it. I work for a veterinarian so animals are a part of my daily life. I am truly blessed to interact with all these amazing animals. I love to read, watch movies, music (the louder the better !) and do pottery and anything else creative. I am determined to as healthy as I can be and with your help I believe I CAN !

Every year it seems to me I hear complaints about spring. It is either
"late" or "unusually cold," "abnormally dry" or "fantastically wet,"
for no one is ever willing to admit that there is no such thing as a normal spring.

Well is April is half over and I think over the last 15 days we have had everything from 70 degrees sunshine to 2 inches of snow on the ground. Yesterday was so blustery, I felt I was in the Hundred Acre Wood with hufflelumps and woozles.

So dear friends in honor of April, I present to you the following quotes:

April showers bring May flowers.

April is half March, half May.

April weather: rain and sunshine both together.

April weather is more capricious than winter.

April weather likes to repeat the April Fool's Day.

April showers bring Spring flowers.

Don't ever bet on April weather.

April wet, good wheat.

A cold April brings us bread and wine.

emoticon Remember that is WINE not WHINE...which I appear to be doing.HaHa.

emoticon Hope you have a happy, healthy, joyous week. Keep me posted on your successes...except the number of SPARK points you get. How come so many of my friends are so lucky? Love you all and may you gain strength and lose pounds! emoticon emoticon

emoticon Okay SPARK friends make April 1st a new starting point for a goal you really want to achieve. If you have been working on a goal since January 1st, you have been at it for three full months so be proud of yourself! emoticon

emoticon For those of you who just have to play pranks from saying, "your shoe is untied" or replacing the sports section with last weeks, just remember....
You Know What They Say About Fools...
The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year. -- Mark Twain
It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and leave no doubt. --Mark Twain
However big the fool, there is always a bigger fool to admire him. -- Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux
He who lives without folly isn't so wise as he thinks. -- François, Duc de La Rochefoucauld
Sometimes one likes foolish people for their folly, better than wise people for their wisdom. -- Elizabeth Gaskell
Looking foolish does the spirit good. -- John Updike
Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed. -- Mark Twain
A fool sees not the same tree that a wise man sees. -- William Blake
It is better to be a fool than to be dead. -- Stevenson

emoticon emoticon emoticon Happy Spring TIme!

I love spring! emoticon The joy of planning my gardens .I love the first sign of the crocus, emoticon daffodil, and tulips pooping up, emoticon brushing away the dead and heavy cover to see the strawberries, chives, parsley and lavender emerge, emoticon the shoots of green buds on trees, emoticon and the robins returning, emoticon the morning sounds of the birds chirping. emoticon

Spring is a time of renewal. The weather gets warmer and the days grow longer allowing us time to get out doors and PLAY! Finding fun and exciting ways to enjoy the out of doors will invigorate and motivate you plus it changes your routine causing those pounds to drop. Try biking, rollerblading, trail hiking or geocaching. Play kick the can, skipping, or jump roping with the kids. Push strollers, walk dogs, climb fences. Join a league. Grow a garden. The possibilities are limitless.

Spring is a time of freshness. Start trying some new veggies and fruits. Drink lots of water. Give yourself a homemade facial or scrub your feet with an abrasive. Give your house a good cleaning. Get rid of the old.

Okay, hopefully I motivated you to make some fun changes and break up your routine a tad. Let me know what works for you! emoticon
