My name is Michelle, I am 51 and I live in Naples Fl. I have 2 children, Matthew 31 and Colin 27 and 2 four legged children named Myles and Chloe. I started gaining weight over 3 yrs ago after the unexpected loss of my only siblings, Lance 40 and Melissa 43. It is time to take my life back and to get on with this business called "living" and to make it the best it can be for it truly is a gift. Now I am living one day at a time, am striving for progress not perfection.
I am a spiritual, not religious person and I enjoy spending my time with like-minded people.
I volunteer at Shywolf Sanctuary taking care of 35 rescued wolves, 4 Florida panthers, foxes, prairie dogs, and various other small animals. These creatures have all been abused, abandoned and neglected and, for most of them, this is their last refuge. It is a very spiritual and sacred place and I am privileged to be a part of it. I work for a veterinarian so animals are a part of my daily life. I am truly blessed to interact with all these amazing animals. I love to read, watch movies, music (the louder the better !) and do pottery and anything else creative. I am determined to as healthy as I can be and with your help I believe I CAN !

Well is April is half over and I think over the last 15 days we have had everything from 70 degrees sunshine to 2 inches of snow on the ground. Yesterday was so blustery, I felt I was in the Hundred Acre Wood with hufflelumps and woozles.

Okay SPARK friends make April 1st a new starting point for a goal you really want to achieve. If you have been working on a goal since January 1st, you have been at it for three full months so be proud of yourself!

Happy Spring TIme!
I love spring! The joy of planning my gardens .I love the first sign of the crocus, daffodil, and tulips pooping up, brushing away the dead and heavy cover to see the strawberries, chives,parsley and lavender emerge, the shoots of green buds on trees, and the robins returning, the morning sounds of the birds chirping.
Spring is a time of renewal. The weather gets warmer and the days grow longer allowing us time to get out doors and PLAY! Finding fun and exciting ways to enjoy the out of doors will invigorate and motivate you plus it changes your routine causing those pounds to drop. Try biking, rollerblading, trail hiking or geocaching. Play kick the can, skipping, or jump roping with the kids. Push strollers, walk dogs, climb fences. Join a league. Grow a garden. The possibilities are limitless.
Spring is a time of freshness. Start trying some new veggies and fruits. Drink lots of water. Give yourself a homemade facial or scrub your feet with an abrasive. Give your house a good cleaning. Get rid of the old.
