Hey everyone! I just got married 8-8-08 but my goals for being fit and healthy are lifelong not event based so here I am!

My Goals:
My goals are to simply to eat well, stay active, love life and make a positive difference in the world.


My Program:
I'm not perfect, but I track everything I eat- healthy or not! I try to stay in my recommended nutrient ranges. I always eat breakfast, usually eggs fried in olive or canola oil spray and a complex carb, and I divide my other meals up through the day (although I don't always reflect this in my journal). I try to eat a balanced combination of foods and emphasize fruits, veggies, lean proteins and whole grains.
I do activities that are hard to track on sparkpeople like cardio kickboxing or other classes my gym offers.
When I can't make it to the gym, I do simple exercises at home like pushups, crunches, squats and lunges. I also do a lot of walking around campus and you'll never catch me on the elevator! On school days I average 10-20 flights of stairs which I make a point to run. It's a good workout considering my backpack adds a lot of weight.
When the weather is nice, I love outdoor activities such as tennis, swimming, jogging, biking or hiking.



Personal Information:
I recently got married to my high school sweetheart who I have been with for over 8 years now. We just bought a house in Ann Arbor and I am a attending the University of Michigan where I am a pre-med student double majoring in neuroscience and psychology. I am also a licensed practical nurse and am certified in massage therapy. I have always been interested in health and wellness.
