Welcome to my Spark Page. My name is Laura and I love all things Disney especially Minnie Mouse! My best friend is my husband of 43 years. I just turned 60..Whoo Hoo. I'm like most of you, working to be a healthier person. Spark People really motivates me. I finally started to track my meals on SP after reading The Spark and when I do I have great results. I try to reach 10,000 steps on my pedometer before the end of the day.

I may not update my spark page as often as others do but for me using the nutrition tracker is key. I use my new SP app on my iphone to do that. So much easier than using my computer since my phone is with me everywhere I go. It is the best thing since sliced bread!

My new passion?...back to sewing and painting. My goal is to open an online shop and sell my custom designed painted wall signs. The wall paper that I'm using on my page is a watercolor painting by Natalie Seaton, a fabulous watercolor artist who inspires me. Fitness Minutes: 7,928

My Goals:
-Jan. 2012 171 lbs. I really took a nose dive but I think I'm back. Wish me luck!

-Aug. 2011 155 lbs same goals...new day. Been off track for months. I finally came back August 24.

-January 28- 145.7 lbs.
I seem to be stuck at this weight!
Feb. 10...Woo Hoo...I lost 2 lbs. this week. 143.7

-January 1 2011 -today- 149 lbs.
- Loose 15 pounds
-Walk a 5k fun walk
Daily goals:
-Walk 10,000 steps
-Drink 8 glasses of water
-use the nutrition tracker
-use the fitness tracker
-smile, be happy, scatter joy!

Dec 31 I'm working on a "come back" strategy plan for the New Year.

Oct – Dec 2010: have been totally out of control, off program and struggling to get back on track. Sad thing is I know what works…I just can’t get my brain wrapped around it. I need to get MOTIVATED!

My Program:
My new program is an easy one...walk over 10,000 steps and eat under 1500 calories each day. The trick for me is to track it. I wear a pedometer and use the SP nutrition tracker. When I do this, I lose up to 1.7 pounds each week.

Hi! My name is Laura and I live in North Carolina. I'm married to a wonderful man (my honey MH) and celebrated our 41th in January 2011. We are both big Disney World fans. I'm in the over 50 crowd and still working outside the home at a very demanding job that I really like. I enjoy painting, crafting and sewing but spend way too little time doing it. I"m a grandmother with 4 great grandchildren...Cecilia, Amanda, Jaxon and Arianna. We also have two, four legged children...Hannah and Mason. Besides always planning for our next trip to Disney, we enjoy weekends at the beach, walking on the beach, fishing at the beach and everything else at the beach. I love my guardian angels and love how the universe is spiritually connected. I'm happy that I found SP because I always need support with my never ending challege to loose weight and stay healthy.
