...I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends. So I am going to pull out all stoppers and finally write up this Spark Page after being on and off Spark for about 2 years. That is a big step for me as I don't like to reveal myself publicly. But I am finding my little motivators are those fun little trophies and reinforcers coming from such caring people who are trying so very hard too. At this point in life, I feel I am doing very well if I can get myself back down to an OK weight for me, at the same time every year! I have been trying this the last 3 years as I am such a YOYO dieter! So MAY 30th (my wedding anniversary ) is coming around the bend once again and I am getting down to the finish line of making my promise to make it to THE annual weight.

However, I am REALLY feeling that this is THE year to start losing weight back to my HEALTHY weight level. I have been there for short periods of time. Currently, I am still above my BMI , I still look dumpy in TOO may photographs, (ugh), and there are too many clothes in bags in the basement I would really like to wear again. Heck with that, I really want to throw them all away and buy NEW ones. So, I have convinced myself (...with a little help from my SPARK friends) that I CAN do this. My gosh so many of you have achieved INCREDIBLE goals, losing crazy amounts of weight and then continuing to keep up healthy life styles!!! So, my plan is to, THIS NEXT YEAR, (lets say one year from now) get to a healthy weight that feels right for me (yes, I have a number in my head). and then start working on keeping my weight close to that level on my anniversary each year. Whew, there I said it to all of you and now I really have to keep to my promise to me!

I am doing this for another reason. I have a money jar and with every dollar I put in the jar (each day I meet my various goals) I am going to send the money to our fund raising account. My husband and I have adopted a school in Guatemala. We try to raise funds each year to the school director. This computer school is so important to the Mayan people. This would make me feel great knowing that my weight loss is helping out the school.
So here goes

what worked: SP meal plans started past week. Stuck to them and WOW did that help as prev. month I did it on my own and lost .5.

what worked: Continued spark meals premade meals for brkfast, lunch. Getting off track- AND NOT giving up- got back on track. Starting to track water better. Lots of bike riding.
problems: not much strength and stretching.
SOLUTION: Follow SPARK plan for strength 2X weekly. Print out 15 min. desk workout for work.

My Goals:
My primary goal is to get to a BMI at the mid range (142- 145 #)

KEEP that healthy weight for one year (start with 3 months)

KNOW this is a life long process, not a quick fix

Eat more vegetables ( I joined a CSA!!)

My Program:
1. I am keeping up exercising 4X weekly or more

2. I am setting aside PLANNING time to think about what myshortgoals are for the wk and rewarding myself when they are met.

4. I am NOT giving myself dealines for weight loss (did not work last time)

Personal Information:
I love to bike and canoe

I love my adult children and husband

I love to cook healthy foods

Other Information:
I went through all this a few times and have done the yo yo thing. THIS time, I am focusing on these changes as LONG term. I have to keep mixing up the ideas for motivation so I stick with this plan through maintenance too!!! I really believe I can do it.
