I'm all fired up and ready to start a healthier life.............
I'm 42, married with adult kids, working casually.
I have been overweight for all my adult life, except for a brief period when I found it easy to lose some weight...Then put nearly all of it back on.
I feel motivated again, but this time will be different, slowly and surely I will never get to that place again!!!!!!!!!
I love golf and I'm from Victoria - Down Under (Australia)

My Goals:
My goals are to take my life in hand, lose weight, and live life to the full....
I want to be able to buy clothes from any shop, and not be noticed for being the fat one when I walk in a room.
My goal weight for the moment is 80kg, I want to get to that and maintain for a while.


My Program:
I'm trying to eat healthier..

Started morning swimming 4 days a week... Not swimming now - toooo cooolllddd

I lead a busy life but will use that to help me...

Do lots of K's on the treadmill too.........

Just started an aerobics dvd twice a week.........



Personal Information:
I'm 42, married for 22 years to a great guy, with a 20 year old son and an 18 year old daughter....... I work casually.

I love to play golf... it's my passion.

I am quite good at it too, which helps...

I want to set goals for my golf too, but I think losing weight and getting fitter and healthier will help with that.

I would love to hear from other mad keen golfers.......

    Hi Minka. Thankyou for the welcome you left on my page. Your achievement is a real example and encouragement to me. I haven't tried listing my physical activities for a day and I found the nutrition tracker hard to use as I didn't recognise a lot of the foods listed. I keep track of what I eat in my head at the moment and I try and do some exercise (walking) 3 times a week but I haven't reached that figure yet. The best I have done is twice in the same week. But for someone who doesn't like to be outside, has never excised and hates exercising, I figure I'm not doing too badly! I hope I can achieve the weight loss that you have. Well done.! emoticon

    Hi. I just joined Golfers for Health team and linked to your spark page. I love to golf, but here in Alberta, Canada, our golf season is short (May to September). I spend as much of the summer on the course as I can, and my short term goal is to lose 10 to 15 pounds this summer. Take care and good golf.
