Weight Loss Success Story of a 176lb. 13-year-old Girl

I've always been the fat kid. My weight kept climbing until I was 176 lbs. at age 13. I realized that my weight was just going to keep climbing if I didn't do something. My self-esteem was already bad enough. My family was large too so I had just not learned how to eat correctly. After I started losing weight, my family did too, and they weren't even trying to (except my Mom who was dieting with me).

Now I'm 20, 5'4", and I've lost a total of 39 pounds. I've inspired my family, friends, and teachers to get healthy. They've told me that when they see me they think: if little Christina (a child!) can do it then I can too. For the first time that I can remember, I'm now at a normal weight. My next goal is to stay healthy and get fit.

Thanks Mimodok for liking my blog and your kind comments. A thoughtful person at a young age, as you, will miss some of the pot holes life can give us. I know you are anxious about those last few pounds and patience is something dieters often donít have but donít push your health in the process. Maintenance is just around the corner so think of this as practice. Good luck on your finals sweet thing.
