I am going on a diet Monday. Not lol!

Michigan born and raised. Dieted my whole life and I am tired of it. I am not going to diet again, I am just going to change my attitude and lifestyle.I am very happy ,love my family and friends and look forward to meeting many more. I am a christian and like to garden sew read drink coffee eat good food and go to the movies.

My program involves being more active. I am turning off the T.V, set and going outside and getting in my new car and going places. It has been a long winter. I am getting a dog so I will be going for walks, and I am not eating as much at mealtime. I also am trying to cut back on desserts.

I've had a good week-end... except for a couple of rough spots yesterday, where I didn't plan well and left myself open to temptation. However, I'm back on track today.

Mimmy, I would love to be your buddy. I've added you as a friend. I too am not DIETING - I'm eating healthier foods and fewer calories - but I am NOT making myself miserable. Just by cutting back I've lost 20lbs in 12 weeks. I started with weigt watchers counting points, which is very easy.

Once I got on Spark, I've moved more towards vegetarian eating - only because I have found that I really like vegeables - lots of them and mostly raw. also lots of nuts & whole grains. It amazes me that I am able to eat quite sufficient protein and am getting excellent nutrients, vitamins and minerals - my potassium and calcium are also way up.

Sorry, I've gone on so, but welcome to SPARK!
