Is it still "baby weight" 5 years later?
I remember when I was in my 20's and a size 3 and 120-125lbs. I had such confidence. I could walk into a club and turn heads. I want that back! I have three wonderful children and would not change that for the world! I just want my body back! I have had my ups and downs since deciding to work at this. I actually had quite a bit of success before my husband went through law enforcement training. I got down to 176lbs. He needed my help studying and I forgot to take care of myself and fell back ...
I remember when I was in my 20's and a size 3 and 120-125lbs. I had such confidence. I could walk into a club and turn heads. I want that back! I have three wonderful children and would not change that for the world! I just want my body back! I have had my ups and downs since deciding to work at this. I actually had quite a bit of success before my husband went through law enforcement training. I got down to 176lbs. He needed my help studying and I forgot to take care of myself and fell back into old habits. I got up to my heaviest at 250 lbs last year. I have dropped some weight since then but still have a lot to go. I had a kidney stone attack in October 2012. I had a large kidney stone that was impacted in my one ureter. I had what they call kidney colic. It was more painful than anything I have ever experienced in my life. They sent me home on pain pills and for 4 days I was on them around the clock. I had an unfortunate side effect from the pain pills. I could not go to the bathroom. I stopped taking the pills completely and had to buy a laxitive. Thankfully that worked. My pain was still there but had greatly reduced. I knew the stone had not passed. On December 10th I went to a Kidney specialist. They did an x-ray to check to see if the stone was still there. It was. I had to have surgery to remove the stone and place a stent to keep my ureter from swelling shut. It was very painful. I was back on pain pills. This time I could not go to the bathroom for 7 days. That was even after stopping the pain pill at 4 days. I was worried that I would have to take another laxative. I have never been so thankful to get a stomach virus. I did not have to take anything I was sick for about 48 hours. They removed the stent on the 19th of December. That was a lot more painful than I thought it would be. I got renal colic again. The car ride home was horrible and I ran out of Oxicodone. They gave me a RX for Hidrocodone, but that didn't seem to work on the pain at all. I just took ibuprofen and went to bed. Since then I have had a bladder infection, but I am allergic to most antibiotics so I have just been drinking a lot of fluids to flush it out. It is a relief to finally not have any kidney pain. I am looking forward to getting myself back in shape. I am looking forward to not feeling so bloated. I have to take it slow but I would like to exercise 30 minutes every day by next month (Feb. 2013). My Goals:
General Goals: I need to record all my calories every day! I need to get my portion sizes under control and get used to that first. After I am used to that I will add in exercise slowly. I will add strength training once I am used to doing my cardio every day. I need to go to bed earlier! Goal is by midnight! I want to fit back into my wedding rings! Specific goals: will have to set these asap...
My Program:
I am following a 1200 callorie diet. Since I have not exercised in so long because of my kidney surgery I have to take exercise very slow. Eventually I plan on doing at least 30 minutes every day. I would like to do crunches, and push ups every day as well. I will do the more extensive strength training that sparkpeople provides every other day.
Personal Information:
I am originally from Philadelphia PA. We moved to NC when my husbands job was outsourced to India. I miss some family and friends that I left behind there and I miss some of the food that you can get there...(Amaroso rolls, Wawa, Yum Yum donuts, all the good pizza places....cheese steaks and cheese fries) but I would never move back. I love it here!

I don't remember where I heard this...maybe Turbo Jam maybe Biggest loser...but it is true: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!!!!"
