Walk by faith not by sight
Hello! I have now been on SP since May 2009. I have lost 10 lbs since I've here, and it's been an uphill battle for me to loose anymore. I can no longer work due to a major back surgery I had back in December of 2008. The surgery itself was a success at getting me back to walking with little pain, however, left me limited to what exercise I can do as well as the other things us woman MUST do. Now, I'm left with having to adjust to using tools I thought I'd never have to use, such as a reacher to pick things up. Though life may have thrown me a huge curve ball I was not quite expecting, I have found such wonderful support in the teams here on SP. I have made such WONDERFUL friends and have learned I'm not the only one who is fighting the battle of loosing weight. We all are fighting the battle of weight loss in one way or another, it is How we handle it, the Support we have, and How you feel about CHANGING a few little things that matter. So, hop on this waggon with the rest of us! It matters not what your limited to, it is what you DO with it that matters!!! :-) I also have an invisible disease/condition called Fibromyalgia. Some days it is nearly impossible for me to move but by the grace of God I'm moving. I'm finishing up college classes for Medical Billing/Coding and I'm in hopes that I will be able to eventually be able to work from home. My husband and I both wanted to loose weight. I thought I needed to update this a little. One day I changed my page title to "Walk by faith not by sight" after something I had read when it occured to me that I had always done that. Today, I continue to do that. Though it is not always easy, it does give me satisfaction to know that my Lord is the one carrying me along my journey in life. I thought my journey had a big bump in the road after I had my back surgery and was not able to do things like I had been able to do. I thought it was all over for me.. Well, God is showing me it is not. I've hit a major bump in my journey. For I am the sole Custodian with Durable and Medicall Power of Attorney over my mother in law. I am my in-laws care taker. My father in law, he is an man to be admired. He is 93, WWII Vet and an utterly amazing man. He has a hip replacement several years ago which left him unable to take care of his wife. He is nearly blind now and sooo hard of hearing.. LOL.. But, I love him to death. My mother in law has had many strokes and is a very stubborn women. She is the type who does not want to do something unless it is her idea. She now has Deminita and Alzhemiers and we were forced to put her in a nursing home. My mother in law is a very sick women today. By the negliance of nurses at the home she was in, she is in the hospital. Faced with many things, I am so glad I have Spark People to help me along my journey in a healthy life. I do miss it when I am unable to track what I have eaten or track my fitness. I have gotten so attached to SP that I can tell when I miss tracking. I love all my Spark Friends as well...And it is by FAITH I know I will lose this weight again!
