I'm a f/t farmer and am stromg enough to toss 100 bales in a morning without feeling it the next day. Flood damage to my basement gym has kept me off the weights lately, but I just hauled them all up the stairs and outside, so i am designing a new workout:
The totally-outdoors-even-in-the-snow workout!
I am going on faith that the best and healthiest workout is in fresh air, regardless of the weather. Not for everybody (yes, I wish I had a "real gym" but we just don;t have that sort ...

I am going on faith that the best and healthiest workout is in fresh air, regardless of the weather. Not for everybody (yes, I wish I had a "real gym" but we just don;t have that sort of thing out here) but hey, it has worked for generations of healthy rural people before.
Hopefully, this can help some of you who just do not have the gym option to design something similar!
I will keep you posted!!!

My Goals:
Back to my best!
Weight is not an issue.
I want to cut the fat and build muscle.
I look goo cut!

My Program:
Good news:
I am outdoors for heavy duty chores anyway.
Challenge:
rusting dumb bells, findig chin-ups bars, finding "natural" equipment. (tree limbs, buckets, etc)
MOTTOS:
Use what you have!
When there's a will there's a way!

Personal Information:
I live in the country on a farm. I spend most of my time outdoors or teaching. Farming is a difficult life sometimes and i wish more people appreciated farmers. I believe in local agriculture and continue to encourage and educate people on starting small scale operations. I do not believe we will ever replace the big farms, but I think we can become less wasteful and more self sufficient while building stronger communities.

Other Information:
We make cheese and yogurt, grow our own produce (peaches, apples, garlic, tomatoes do especially well her), and forage the pastures and mountains for useful herbs. The wild watercress is especially great!
