My grandson wanted a "Mad Scientist Birthday Party". These are 5 of my grandchildren plus a few friends getting ready for the party.
Mad Scientist Birthday Boy...and now he is six.
My daughter & son as the Head Mad Scientists...love my family.
As you might guess, I am a mime. I was a mime artist for over 30 years but in recent years slowed down due to an injury, and rediscovered another love: writing. Currently I'm writing a memoir... in 1976 "inter-racial" marriage was not popular. (it still isn't). Despite the dire warnings we are still married, in love and happy.
We have two children & eight grandchildren. So far everyone is an artist ...singers, actors, writers, dancers...(too early to tell with the youngest one)
I'm going to brag now: My son is a playwright and a Playwright Fellow at Julliard. My daughter has won literary awards and has been contacted by an established agent. I want to be around to see my children accept the Pulitzer.
My goal is mindful eating and exercise.
To feel strong and flexible.
Get 8 hours of sleep
I live in Rockford, IL.
I blog at a couple sites as "Mimetalker". You can google that name and find my blogs. They will tell you more than you want to know about me.
I am a long-time member of the Baha'i Faith, a Faith that promotes in thoughts, word and action the oneness of humanity. We believe there is One God Who created and loves us all.

Welcome back to the FMD eating plan. I feel so much better when I eat this way, it's amazing. My arthritis is not a problem when I'm eating right. My son gave me a fit bit for Christmas so I'm learning about that. Lets make our new starts successful !!

Hey, I wanted to thank you for introducing me to Spark, but I am going to close my page. I haven't been here since I got sick in February, still searching for my magic bean, I guess. Have fun, and see you around.

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"
Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."
I hope you're having a good weekend so far, Sparkfriend! I just wanted to stop by and share a couple of great quotes with you. Keep pushing to reach your goals, one day at a time. Always believe that you are worth your absolute best effort...because you are!
"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"
TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!
