My Goals:
Now that I have lost more weight than I thought I could, the goal is to keep it off and work on strength. My whole body feels better without those extra 24 pounds I started with on Spark 4+ years ago.

I would like to build my running mileage back up for a half marathon in early summer.

My Program:
Just keep moving.

Run as often as my body will allow.

Keep doing core 2-4xweek.

Add biking in the spring.

Hello! I faltered at the end of my vacation, but I'm ready to get back to the good zone for this month! Glad to see you back on!

Love the new page! So I have to tell you, my boss gave me $200 (well $150 after taxes) IF i promised to buy myself some boots/shoes. See, my old brown work boots lost their rubber sole, so I would CLIP! CLOP! down the hallway at work. The coffee lady in the lobby saying "I can always tell it's you!" prompted a little vent to my boss, who said-go buy some new ones. To which I replied: I need brown boots, black boots, brown casual shoes, and ideally a pair of proper Zumba shoes. That's a lot of shoes, especially when it's my responsibility to make sure my family has shoes (i usually come last), so being overwhlemed, I just made do with what I had. Soooo....anyway, venting paid off, I got 4 pairs of shoes in one day, guilt free because I dind't pay for them!

And Tenny is VERY intuitive to pick up on that with the pricing of food. That's the biggest complaint I hear about diets like South Beach, you're eating well, but it is very costly! *sigh*

I officially tallied the calories for the Honey Rhubarb cake and came up with 241 (the honey I used didn't have nutrition info, so I guessed, and came up short). Nice move leaving the extra on the counter! emoticon yeah, I ended up eating another 3/4 of a piece, but still came in under my max for the day.

Celia threw the MOTHER of all tantrums after you left. She really never throws them, so it caught me totally off guard. She screamed at the top of her lungs for at least half an hour, yelled "GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!" if you tried to do anything to help her, tore the blankets/pillows/sheets off of her bed, Ava's bed. Oh my. It was like she was possessed. Guess I should know better than to wake a tired child by now, huh?

If I don't pop over again....have a great flight & enjoy your time away!

Thanks for the encouragement! What worries me is that i went AWOL there for a little while on the good eating front, and if I know anything about myself, it's that I can gain very, very quickly. I'm at least hoping the good I've done in the past month has canceled out my bone-headedness from before.

You're doing so good! You always say I inspire you (or something to that effect), but I truly am inspired by YOU. I think the hardest thing for me definitely is food, and I find myself thinking more now about whole wheat products, organic stuff, wheat germ, flaxseed. I know that's definitely your influence!

I think what still kind of takes me by surprise is just how EXTREMELY vigilant you have to be. When your calorie intake is supposed to be under 1550, that just doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room-one bad choice for the day (a la the pumpkin spice frappucinno I downed Friday night) and your day is shot. But I figure that at least we're learning how to maintain pretty darn good. Russell told me about the site he's using (since it's too "girlie" on Spark...whatever!) and I think it would be AWFUL for me: Can you imagine entering a 500 calorie-burning Zumba session, then seeing you can eat "x" more calories for the day? I'd most likely gain!

I logged all weekend, but went over all 3 days. Boo! Ah well, today's a new day. Have a great week!
