The right attitude!

I liked this so much that I decided to make it my intro:

"Remember, nobody can go back to the very beginning and make a brand new start, but anyone can start here and make a brand new end."

Love and hugs to your Dad and Mom... I think about them often, too.

Thank you for checking our rescue group's page. Just want to make sure you have the right one because there is more than one group with a similar name. We are Rez Dog Rescue of Montana. We have a profile photo of a solid black dog right now and a red background banner that talks about New Year. Myself and another person do most of the posting on that page.

Hope all is well with you and your parents!!!

I get so ticked when people say its time to move on. Who are THEY to say that? It took my friend who is now in her 90s about 15-20 years before she stopped speaking about missing him every day. Can you imagine if I had said that to her?!

Everyone has their own way of coping with death. When my husband died in 2005 I cried every day for one solid year. I couldn't stop. I never spoke about it with people though so I guess that's why I didn't get flack. I still think of him often and miss his friendship which is unsurpassed by anyone else.

I took a course on death and dying at my University when I was 23 after my dad died and it really 'saved' me in that it taught me so much. I had so much guilt because his was an unexpected, untimely death, but I learned that my reactions were all the normal way of coping. Everyone is affected differently and responds to it at their own pace.

hugs hugs and more hugs

Missing you MaryAnne...how are things - you, parents, kitties! My neighbor wants to give up his female cat. She is very sweet and I normally would have no problem and agreed to do it, but am concerned it will put stress on my male cat who hates all other animals. He is 12 now and I don't want him to be unhappy. My son said she can stay downstairs with him. I am still trying to figure it all out.

take care
barbara
