Fit & Fabulous By 50!

Hello! I am a busy teacher who let her work take over life, so the weight crept up over the years. This year is going to be about getting back to healthy. I use to lose weight easily before, but now that I am 49 it is much harder to lose. I hope to hit my target goal by the time I turn 50. My husband took 5 years to lose 60 pounds and he has kept it off for over 8 years. He is a good role model for me. We like to eat healthy for the most part. Hello! I am a busy teacher who let her work take over life, so the weight crept up over the years. This year is going to be about getting back to healthy. I use to lose weight easily before, but now that I am 49 it is much harder to lose. I hope to hit my target goal by the time I turn 50. My husband took 5 years to lose 60 pounds and he has kept it off for over 8 years. He is a good role model for me. We like to eat healthy for the most part. We do not eat red meat and we try to eat many fruits and veggies. My downfall is that I have a sweet tooth! Exercise helps and I have I been good so far (started back on regular routine 1/1/13). Just want to keep strong and stay on track. Next year, I turn 50 and my son graduates high school, so I want to look nice.

My Goals:
To lose20- 30 pounds by the time I turn 50, which will be in April 2014.

My Program:
I started in 2010, but really didn't use the website a lot. My sister- in- law used the site and lost weight. So here I am again! I plan to lose my weight by faithfully tracking my food and exercise on Sparkpeople. I started back on 1/1/13 and have lost 4 pounds so far. Food journaling has really helped!

Personal Information:
I live in Sparks, Nevada. I teach 2nd grade!
I have been married 23 years and have a awesome son in high school.

Hi, mightymo! We seem to have a little incommon. I am also a returning sparker. My 42nd bday is right around the corner. I have noticed the older I get the harder it is to shed the weight. I want to lose 20lbs, but am focussing on 10 at a time. I also returned on 1/1/13. I have not weighed myself since that day. I get very discouraged when the numbers don't move :( I am trying for my first 10 by mid February. Would love to have you as a sp friend!
