Toning up after TRIPLETS!

I'm a busy mommy of 5 children, including my youngest which are triplets turning 5 years old next month. I have struggles so much with my weight since they were born! I actually weigh more now than I did right after I had them. I've discovered that I am definitely a "stress eater", something I really need to learn to combat! I'm a busy mommy of 5 children, including my youngest which are triplets turning 5 years old next month. I have struggles so much with my weight since they were born! I actually weigh more now than I did right after I had them. I've discovered that I am definitely a "stress eater", something I really need to learn to combat! I've become more committed to losing weight this past year than I have in the previous 4 years. I've been able to maintain my weight for 2 years now, but I know that I need to be losing, not maintaining anymore! :)

I cook 99% of our meals from home, and I've made a lot of healthy changes to our family diet. I love to try new healthy recipes, and I love to knit (great stress relief, most of the time!)

I homeschool and stay home with my 5 kids, grow my own vegetables and herbs, and love life! I just want to be healthy again. I know I need to do this most of all as a good example for my children to see. I've been married for 10+ years to the most amazing husband and father of my children! He truly treats me like every woman should be treated - with love, respect, and LOTS of affection :)

My current weight is 210 and my goal is to be to 175 pounds by my 30th birthday, which is August 7th!

My Program:
Trying to keep my carbs/sugars on the lower end due to PCOS. Stay away from fast foods as much as possible! Prepare 99% of all meals from home. Drink a minimum of 8 cups of water per day. Walk 1-3 miles per day using the "Walk away the pounds" program!

Personal Information:
Coffee Lover, Yarn/Knitting addict, Late-night owl!

Mother of 5, including 2 with special needs (Cerebral Palsy). I feel a special calling from God to be the mommy of these wonderful children, but I feel that I haven't taken care of this body God gave me. I want to be able to keep up with my kids better, have energy to play with them more in the pool, garden, etc!!

I hope that by losing the weight and becoming healthier that I will be able to use my asthma inhaler much less frequently!

Thank you for the compliment. It seems like it will take me forever to fit into those jeans!!! - but at least they do show me how far I've come so far. People at work don't really notice it yet. All of my scrubs are just getting baggy now, but I can't wait for someone to say "hey! Are you losing weight?" Everyone knows I'm dieting because I pack my lunch every day full of good stuff.. but I just want everyone to see the results!!

Welcome to spark people! It's a superb community and, I believe, the key to losing the weight once and for all. No diet can do for you what the support of good people can do!

emoticon to special parents of special babies,your family are lovely and they look a handful.it is good you have a supportative husband.they are worth their weight or should i say our weight in gold.how do you ever find time to grow your own vegtables with the home schooling and 5 children?i struggle with my 3 children.anyway once again welcome and good luck with the weight loss journey.

I just wanted to stop by and say HI! Your family is just beautiful! I totally understand the stress-eating as I go thru it myself. But you CAN do it! You are a Leo (as am I - Aug 10) and Leo's can do anything they put their minds to!
