Toning up after TRIPLETS!

I'm a busy mommy of 5 children, including my youngest which are triplets turning 5 years old next month. I have struggles so much with my weight since they were born! I actually weigh more now than I did right after I had them. I've discovered that I am definitely a "stress eater", something I really need to learn to combat! I've become more committed to losing weight this past year than I have in the previous 4 years. I've been able to maintain my weight for 2 years now, but I know that I need ...
I'm a busy mommy of 5 children, including my youngest which are triplets turning 5 years old next month. I have struggles so much with my weight since they were born! I actually weigh more now than I did right after I had them. I've discovered that I am definitely a "stress eater", something I really need to learn to combat! I've become more committed to losing weight this past year than I have in the previous 4 years. I've been able to maintain my weight for 2 years now, but I know that I need to be losing, not maintaining anymore! :)

I cook 99% of our meals from home, and I've made a lot of healthy changes to our family diet. I love to try new healthy recipes, and I love to knit (great stress relief, most of the time!)

I homeschool and stay home with my 5 kids, grow my own vegetables and herbs, and love life! I just want to be healthy again. I know I need to do this most of all as a good example for my children to see. I've been married for 10+ years to the most amazing husband and father of my children! He truly treats me like every woman should be treated - with love, respect, and LOTS of affection :)

My current weight is 210 and my goal is to be to 175 pounds by my 30th birthday, which is August 7th!

My Program:
Trying to keep my carbs/sugars on the lower end due to PCOS. Stay away from fast foods as much as possible! Prepare 99% of all meals from home. Drink a minimum of 8 cups of water per day. Walk 1-3 miles per day using the "Walk away the pounds" program!

Personal Information:
Coffee Lover, Yarn/Knitting addict, Late-night owl!

Mother of 5, including 2 with special needs (Cerebral Palsy). I feel a special calling from God to be the mommy of these wonderful children, but I feel that I haven't taken care of this body God gave me. I want to be able to keep up with my kids better, have energy to play with them more in the pool, garden, etc!!

I hope that by losing the weight and becoming healthier that I will be able to use my asthma inhaler much less frequently!

Hi I wish you the best of luck in your weight loss. I started SparkPeople back in June 2012. I saw you lived in West Tennessee. So do I. I saw you are a member of the Parents with Special Needs children. So am I. My husband and I are parents of just turned 8 year old with Severe CP as well as a multitude of other medical challenges. We also have 2 other children. If I may be any encouragement please call on me anytime. The last seven months has had its ups and downs, but I am definitely seeing results with more results to come in 2013. emoticon emoticon

OMG, it's been so long since I've heard from you, I didn't know what to think. I am thrilled to know that all is well with you and children. I've been having some medical issues and have really been struggling to stay focused. MY VCR broke (it was old) so I haven't been using my exercise tapes and I really can't afford to go out right now and replace them with DVD's so I've been walking outside for 30 minutes a few days a week. I've had some really positive feedback from the SP crew and hopefully, with time backing me I will get my focus back too! Keep up the good work; you are worth it!
