Thanks for your comment on my blog about Rewards and Compromises. Let me tell you, of the three legs of triathlon, I am unusual in that the cycling scares me more than the swimming. I had a nasty tumble on a busy street when I was a teenager (many decades ago), when my chain froze, riding for transport. It was a long time before I started cycling as a grown woman.

And now, I'm facing my fears and moving forward. As I said in the blog, speed still scares me... I find myself braking when some other cyclist are going "Wheeeeee!" down a big hill!

Still, if I never did anything that scared me, would I be fully alive? emoticon Spark on!
