Never Look Back

I am new here, but so far like what I see.

I am a single parent, born again Christian and self employed. I work from home so therefore I am online most of the time, but also leaves little time for myself.

As you can see I am not a blogger or a person to post many personal pictures, but I do enjoy the message board and reading all the various posts. I look forward to meeting others here.

Hi Mickee, I did not plant a garden this past year since my daughter was expecting a baby around planing time. I may give the melon seeds a try this year!

Saw your post on the Primal forum. If you have any questions please let me know. I started the primal diet 3 months ago and really like it. It is much easier to maintain than most "diets" and I find it becomes second nature once your body detoxes the first 2-3 weeks of the plan.

You are right it is a low carb diet but it is so much more. I find that I cna eat so much more fruits than you would think on a low carb diet. Plus I love being able to eat more protein. Just make sure you cut out all of the starchy stuff and you will do fine.

It might be easier to start out not using the protein drinks so can get used to making your own meals and the plan. Mark's daily apples website is also essential in learning the plan.

Christy - I don't know. I am just a mess tonight. I think of all the things I like and feel like I can't eat them as they are so high carb. I live, literally on bananas and one is 22 cabs nearly enough for the whole day. I can give up bread and things like that but bananas, beets, carrots, winter squash. I just don't know if I can do this, again. I know I need to do it, but when I think of never eating the things I like or much of them again I just don't know that it is worth putting my body through losing to gain it back, as I did before. I am not sure I have the total focus that I did when I was younger. I just feel totally out of control and not sure what to do. Maybe tomorrow will bring renewed motivation.

Are you OK? I read one of your posts on living low carb. Don't give up ...

I am here for you, if you need me.
