I am a mom. I am also overweight. I am not going to do this to myself any longer. This is just a part of my life that I am going to look back on and wonder why I didn't do something sooner. I deserve more. My kids deserve more. My husband deserves more. I will be the best I can be (corny much???)!

I don't know what has happened to the "old" me in the past two months but she seems to have disappeared into thin (no pun intended) air. In her place stands someone who is getting comfortable with eating healthier, exercising and having more energy than I have had in a long time. I love it.

People keep asking me why I decided to diet (god I hate that word). I tell them I am not dieting, I am thinking before eating. If that means planning out what I am going to be eating at a restaurant 7 hours before I even go there, so be it. I am not going to let anyone veer me off course because the course is clear and straight ahead of me.

A year seems like a long time but really it isn't. So I work my buns off (literally I hope) for 12 months and come out being exactly who I always knew I was underneath this "fat suit". A smoking hot mama with a great sense of humour, 3 beautiful children and a husband that no other can match.

So I say #$@% you to fat!!! You can make friends with salad:)

My Goals:
My goal is to lose some weight so that I can do the following things...

1) go up the stairs and still talk when I get to the top of them

2) be able to crawl around on the floor and monkey around with my kids

3) not have to worry about if I am going to fit in a booth at a restaurant

4) make my husband proud of his wife (I know he already is but I need to think it too)

5) feel better about myself

...the list goes on and on!

It is time for a change!
