Slow and Steady
I moved back to Boston from New Orleans in September. I spent almost a year down there and slowly, but steadily gained 20 lbs. At first I thought it was the food I was eating, but then I realized it was the lifestyle! I was so active in Boston - taking the train and walking everywhere. In New Orleans I drove everywhere. The 20lb weight gain breaks down to an excess of only 250 calories/day - essentially the calories burned in my morning and evening commute! ...

At first I thought it was the food I was eating, but then I realized it was the lifestyle! I was so active in Boston - taking the train and walking everywhere. In New Orleans I drove everywhere. The 20lb weight gain breaks down to an excess of only 250 calories/day - essentially the calories burned in my morning and evening commute! Now that I'm back in Boston, I know the weight will come off slowly and steadily (just like it came on!), but I would like it to come off sooner rather than later. SO I'm supporting the active lifestyle with healthy eating.

My Program:
Eat less, move more! I don't like "diet" food, I don't like restriction, and I certainly don't like missing out on fun with my friends and family. I like wine, steak, chocolate, and whole milk lattes. Not giving any of that up! EAT LESS. MOVE MORE. That's my plan :)
