Finding my Fit Place

For more than 12 years, I've explored my interest in nutrition through personal exploration and research.

More recently, I have taken the same interest in exercise, and have brought the two together in my own life. That knowledge has been essential to helping me transform the way I look and feel, but the key was really when I experienced a mental shift.

For more than 12 years, I've explored my interest in nutrition through personal exploration and research.

More recently, I have taken the same interest in exercise, and have brought the two together in my own life. That knowledge has been essential to helping me transform the way I look and feel, but the key was really when I experienced a mental shift.

Once I got my mind right, I had the power to ignite all that I had learned over the years, and the clarity to assemble a successful and evolving strategy to achieving my fitness goals. I've caught my groove in a fit life.

I've been incredibly dedicated and proactive, but I've also had a lot of help along the way. I am eternally grateful for the knowledge, perspective, and inspiration that I've gained from all those who have helped and continue to help me on my journey. I've found fitness, and I want to inspire you to find yours.

-Michelle

Thanks so much for your encouraging comment on my blog! You're absolutely right; I know I've got to keep realistic expectations. I know I get consumed by impatience sometimes, which can be super depressing...but you're right, this is not the time to lose it. It's time to remember to stay on track!

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I decided to do the fast because the pastor of my church challenged the church members to try fasting. It is a spiritual discipline that has been practiced for centuries. For me personally, I was hoping to grow spiritually as well as learn a little bit more about my body. I decided against doing a complete fast or even a water only fast because I do need to keep up with work and everything and I feared that would not be a good thing for me right now. Plus I had no specific calling to do a complete fast. Therefore I determined that I would do a partial fast (veggies, juice and water). However, as I've begun doing that, I have had a lot of trouble with sticking to just veggies. Last night I decided that I would amend my plan to continue with eating 2 just veggies meals a day, and snacking on veggies, however my third meal will now include legumes, grains, or dairy. Basically I've decided to go vegetarian for the next 2 weeks. I think that will be a more sustainable plan for me.
