Thanks, Shelly! It's been a tough road. I quit smoking about 5 years ago, and the pounds kept creeping on.

You're wise to nip it in the bud! Good luck to you!

We sure have had the snow, eh?

Owosso is a nice town. I used to go through it every Sunday taking my sister back to Flint, where she was going to nursing school.

Shelly, thanks for your spark mail message! Thank you for sharing with me about your Mom. I know that must have been so hard. You have a beautiful family and look way to young to have grandchildren! I wish you much success with your goals!

Wow, good work on that weight loss! you and I have similar goals and I'm determined to get below 150 this week. Your commitment has reinforced in me that this is a doable goal--no excuses why I can't do it. Oh, and no way you look like you are in your 50s. You must take good care of yourself.

Welcome to the 50 + Females Group. I am 55 years old and I recently lost 120 lbs. I have another 45 lbs. to lose. I have not lost any weight in the last few weeks. It has not been easy at times. When you eat properly and incorporate consistent exercise, it gets better.
