My Goals:
My main goal is to make lifestyle changes in order to be a healthier person. I want to be more active, make healthy choices for my food and ultimately get to my goal weight of 145 lbs.

2014 Goals:
1. Get to goal weight
2. Set monthly goals & post in blog
3. Take measurements monthly
4. Do 3 new hikes
5. Read more books than I did in 2013 (31+) and at least 2 classics
6. Contact one out of town friend per month
7. Organize pictures

Personal Information:
My name is Michele and I live in Oregon. I have an amazing husband and 2 college-aged kids. I love Disneyland and really anything Disney! I also enjoy travel, reading, gardening, hiking, baking, trying new recipes, old movies, workout dvds, Bible study, taking pictures, being with my family and learning new ways to be healthy.

Thanks for checking in! I've been super busy, doing bare minimums on Sparkpeople lately, but still trying to be active. I've noticed the downfall in Monthly challenges, too, and have been doing my best to make sure one is at least posted, but I think people aren't as interested in them anymore. I can still post a challenge monthly just so it is there for added incentive for some people, or we can drop it all together, or give someone else a turn to make them! I'm totally fine with stepping down, in fact, I'll send a sparkmail to the team about it :) Thanks for checking in

Sorry it took me so long to reply to you! I lost one of my animals this week and it hit me hard. Anyway, I love the series by Joanne Fluke as well :) I have actually made several recipes from her books, I even bought the cookbook! They all turned out really great. The one I remember most is the Red Velvet Cake Cookies, I took them to work for a birthday and they were a hit!

No, I didn't start with the Simple Start, but I probably should have. I made Sunday my weigh in day online, though. I've lost 7 lbs since then just using the Points method of tracking. Of course, we will see what it is like once I actually get to next Sunday. I've been playing this yoyo of losing weight between 301-310 since I lost down to 301 from 314 in February. I lost 12 lbs in 10 days back then. It's just coming off so quick because I'm consuming so many less calories and also exercising.

I plan to do meetings when I can afford it. With my aunt trying to get her disability this last year or so things are getting tight and behind. I should be able to get things caught up this summer, though.
