Hi! I live in Delaware - an actual Delaware native, as a matter of fact. Have a blessed life - family, dog (my wonderful Margo), friends, neighbors, job, house: the works! I'm trying to lose about 40 pounds. I'm diabetic, and would love to see all of my numbers under better control. I'm sure my doctor would, as well!

Hi! Apparently I live within 25 miles of ya. I did a spark search. Your dog Margo is cute...reminds me of a dog we had years ago and brings back sweet memories just seeing a familiar doggie face. Who's the golden lab in the one pic?

Hi and welcome to SparkPeople and our Managing Diabetes Group, High Blood Pressure, and Cholesterol Support Teams where you will receive lots of support and encouragement from everyone. Just post any prayer requests, questions, comments or suggestions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
You have come to the right place. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I want to see you accomplish your goals. Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Remember to just take one day at a time on this journey of a lifetime. This journey consists of many small steps, a few speed bumps and pot holes, and a lot of fun. I will be here for you and try to help you on this journey to your goals. YOU can do this!!!
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8 - 8oz glasses a day) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of weight loss and lowering numbers. Start small if that is all you can do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!! It's good to meet and have you with us.
